This cooler is sexy and it keeps ice like a champ! Took this to yosemite filled with tons of drinks and about a dozen frozen water bottles.....the frozen bottles lasted all four days and the drinks stayed cold...keep in mind yosemite was a perfect 75 degrees all weekend! When i got home i threw this baby in my garage.....where its averaged a nice 90 degrees lately. 8 days later no more frozen water, but the cans were still coldish to the touch!!!!!! Igloo has my vote! Dont waste the extra money on that y3ti brand unless you like throwing $$$ away or youre soooo vain you need to try to impress people with names. Igloo has been around before i was born and they have made a quality product!!!!!!
This cooler is massive for starters, I get it's a 70 but just wow, and for the size of it (empty) light enough for myself to pick up. After it was filled with food and drinks and ice I definitely needed two people which the handles on the sides works great for. It held ice from a Friday to a Sunday (without a “cool down period”) before it was melted completely, and also fit almost everything I needed for a four-day camp. As opposed to my yeti 35 which the ice melted within the first 24 hours and I had to refill it. Very happy with the quality / craftsmanship of the cooler and plus, it's badass looking overall to boot. I've been recommending all my friends to get one, just because it's such a great cooler for a fantastic price. Just waiting till they come out with more sizes/colors to get another! P.s - the customer service I dealt with through igloo was also phenomenal. This company is really great.
I'm impressed with the quality of this IMX Series Cooler... This is for our vessel on the water. 25 Ft Center Console. It fits under the Leaning Post or Captain's Chair. I did not actually get a chance to use it. But I can see the quality of the craftsmanship on how well its built. Captain Michael
Great looking cooler. Mine does not seal well. Does not latch tight. Ice only lasted a couple days. And that was inside of an air conditioned beach house. When it was shipped it was in a box with no padding or protection. A little beat up upon arrival. I would opt for a differing cooler next time. It is much lighter than the competition as mentioned, but does not hold ice as long.
The product does its job. Has the needed accessories that other coolers don't provide, but the cooler doesn't have the durable feel. Feels like the lower Igloo models.
Good but not great. I did a non scientific ice retention test with my Igloo Marine 52 cooler and while it did perform better, it only held ice for 4 days (not 7 as advertised). I'm an engineer and I'm also concerned about the hinge design being robust enough to handle normal use without fracturing. It should have come with a lid cable to limit the travel and stress on the hinges.
I'm on the fence honestly. Its well made for sure. Feels durable, looks slick, keeps ice, thread cap drain...but this sucker is heavy. It should definitely have wheels. Im also not sure the rubber latches hold very tight. Will have to do some more testing.
Ice retention of 7 days is very false. Can't even keep the ice for 2 days. I'll be purchasing a more expensive better quality cooler. Like the saying goes you get what you pay for.
Very disappointed in this cooler it doesn't hold ice that long at all i can barely get 1 day out of it and i live in wv so u know it would be alot worse in hotter climates
We're super disappointed in this cooler. I own a restaurant and most of our products are locally sourced, so sometimes I have to drive up to 4 hours just one way to pick up orders, specifically of oysters. Igloo claims that their coolers keep ice frozen for up to 7 days. By the time I get back from my 8 hour trip, at least half of the ice I started with will be melted. It's super frustrating.
