Perfect fit, quality construction (upgrade from the original), aesthetically pleasing. I continue to appreciate that these parts are available directly from the manufacturer to keep my cooler running for years to come. Keeping my business. YETI, FORGETTI.

Seems to be good. Easy to install and I hope it lasts. I hadn't noticed how poorly the original latch had been installed at the factory, very crooked. I used the original latch position but had to make a new hole for the button, as the original button had 2 screws. Keeps the cooler out of the landfill and the old Max 5 cooler has always worked great.

The new stainless steel latch was easy to install. The cooler should have been initially made with the hinged latch rather than the cheap plastic latch.

Well, so far I have just put them on 2 coolers and have not yet used them otherwise. I would've thought that they would've been made to adapt to the stub that was already in place but no big deal other than taping a new hole for them. Time will tell on the durability of them but I suspect that they will outlast the hinges that came with them.

Good quality materials with hinge that will outlast the original plastic units. The only shortfall is that when closing the lid these hinges have no ability to spring slightly open so they will be hammered each time you close it and let go too soon. I was able to glue a small piece of closed cell dense foam inside the hinge and it will work well until the foam someday degrades.

These latches look durable so was excited to install them. Installation was easy but they didn't fit correctly and when latched they raised the lid just enough to open the cooler a half inch or so.

I have an Igloo cooler with the plastic latch that breaks every two years or so. The metal hinge was advertised as universal fit which is not accurate. I had to open the package to install only to find it doesn't work. I won't bother with a refund. My advice is just keep buying the plastic latch because this one will NOT work.

They'll work but require different holes to be drilled.
