Imaginext Serpent Strike Pyramid

We've had this Imaginext® Serpent Strike Pyramid for quite some time now, and it still captivates my children. They instantly gravitated to this toy upon opening it with all the lights and sounds. This Imaginext playset is packed full of features and fun and allows their imaginations to soar. Their favorite thing about this playset is definitely the serpent voice changer. They love launching the falling boulders, and taking turns using the serpent strike while playing together. The only thing they didn't particularly care for was the bridge didn't stay connected easily so they often left it off entirely, but I suspect as they get older they will find this easier to manage. This toy has been a big hit in our house and we've since bought additional accessories to go along with it. It's quickly become our favorite Imaginext playset. Serpent Strike Pyramid playset is action packed with features that will keep your child's imagination running wild as they explore this ancient pyramid. As their treasure hunter approaches the pyramid should they choose to make haste and cross the bridge. Will they traverse and avoid the wrath of fireballs the thunder out and to try to take out the bridge? Should they make it past, it only takes one false move to awaken the mummy who has forsaken the structure. The serpent king will spring to life and awaken the giant serpent who towers over anyone trying to invade. Will the treasure hunter near escape its venomous bite? Should they be lucky enough to make it inside, they'll explore multiple levels as they race to find the scarab treasure at the very top of the pyramid. They'll explore hidden passages ways, slides, pits and ladders as they make their way up to obtain the scarab treasure. Just as they thought they'd make it out safe, the serpent king discovers his scarab treasure has been taken and now the epic battle begins. Will the treasure hunter make it out, or will face the wrath of the serpents? Only your child can tell. This set is loads of fun and my children had a blast playing with it. They developed their own storyline as if they were creating their own action film set in the deserts of Egypt. The loved how they could spring open the pyramid and have the giant serpent lash out as it was defending the tomb from the treasure hunters goal. The voice changing snake was an awesome addition to the set. My kids pretend to be the voice of the serpent and king to try to scare off the treasure hunter as he invades the pyramid. It even has a neat light up feature that activates and illuminates the scarb's holder. Also when activated the mummy's eyes light up in front as well. It's a very nice touch and adds to the storytelling excitement your child will create. When the lights trigger some very thematic music plays as well. I swear they thought of everything! The set is made from very sturdy plastic and the opening mechanisms were very well designed. As my children have several of Imaginext playsets I had not doubt that the quality would be there. They are truly toys that are meant to be played with. It closes and locks together nicely for travel as well. This toy is great for both boys and girls. As a parent I enjoyed getting in on the adventure as we created our own movie plotlines. Indiana who??? All in all this a great set that has tremendous value and replayability. If your child is a fan of action and adventure they'll definitely find it with this set. Lastly, I have to say Imaginext (Mattel) paid a little homage to it's old 1980's He-Man line. As soon as I saw the voice changer, I was reminded of Skeletor's Snake Mountain playset that had a voice changing snake microphone. Nice job Imaginext for taking me right back to being a 5 year old playing with those toys. This is a total gem and I highly recommend it. One of our favorite playsets yet. My 4 year old son was so excited when we received this toy. There was a small bit of easy assembly required after taking it out of the packaging, but it wasn't a frustrating amount. It was larger than I expected, which is not a bad thing. Within minutes he was playing, using the voice-changer to announce doom to the character and knocking down the bridge with the boulders. Overall, this is a very good addition to the Imaginext sets. It's very interactive - the face on the front swings open to reveal a green cobra with a dramatic green light behind it that eats the little man off the platform! There are a few little hiding places on the back that my son loved to "sneak" the character into, plus the bridge knock down feature is neat. The voice changer cobra works well, and has it's own resting place so it's not just laying around. There is plenty of room for a child to use their imagination with this set. I highly recommend it. Got this super awesome toy to review for my kids love it they've played with it non stop it's spaceuous and still has hours of play packed into it it lights up and makes sounds It's a real big hit with my kiddos which as moms is what we all want ! Highly recommended for kids that love the imaginext toy sets it's very durable pieces don't break out like other toys which is good for two little boys! We were excited to rate and review the Imaginext Serpent Strike Pyramid. I liked this product because it kept my almost 3 year old and his 9 year old brother occupied for hours of fun. While the kids were treasure hunting I was able to get some work done around the house. The glowing sphinx head and the voice changer were cool features. The kids had a blast exploring the unknown dangers that lurked inside the Serpent Strike Pyramid and pretending to be the serpent king. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

My (almost) 4 year old son loves this set, and keeps finding cool aspects of it! He really enjoys "talking into the snake" and having his voice change. The face at the front can be a little tricky to close, but once he figured out how to do it it wasn't really a problem. There are a ton of fun ways my son has found to play with this - sometimes the treasure hunter and snake man work together, sometimes he rolls the balls to knock everyone over, sometimes he uses the voice changer to make his voice sound different, and sometimes he'll just create a story. It has really been fun watching (and playing with) him as he uses his imagination. He also loves making everyone in the room be quiet, then setting up the treasure hunter on the bridge, and surprising him by popping open the front face. This toy is so different from most toys. I really like the freedom it gives my child to play and pretend. There are so many different ways to play with it! Megaphone commander, pretend with the figurines, rolling the boulder around in a maze, adventure play with the coin fitting in the scepter and the throne in the back, and even as simple and classic as peekaboo with the snake. I think the coolest feature of this toy (and the one my daughter absolutely won't put down!) Is the megaphone serpent attachment. She loves acting like the serpent commander and hearing her voice distort as she hollers at her "minions" haha! I also like that it's light and portable. It works and is stable pretty much anywhere. My 1 year old son uses it to stand up at times. Only thing I'd change is to add a volume control and a couple modes like music mode. My daughter (3 years old) was a tiny bit scared of the serpent strike at first but now giggles at it. I think it surprised her is all. I was pleasantly surprised with the Imaginext Serpent Strike Pyramid. When my children first saw it they showed little interest. However, after showing them some of the features and sounds, they immediately jumped right in. They figured it out quickly and within minutes were laughing hysterically when the serpent would attack. There were several different play options that held their attention for a decent amount of time. You could decide to play the good guy or the bad guy and play out a few different scenarios with sounds, motions, and fun effects. The voice changing microphone was such a fun addition. My son loves this set! We love different worlds and this Egypt world doesn't disappoint. The only thing I did not like was the pieces that connect in the front. They do not stay at all. The voice changer is a cute touch!
