I need to correct this review
once I got the dates out of the bag and put them in one of my containers..the fermenting smell was gone...the dates were so good...well..that order is eaten and i just ordered 5 lbs.. they were not old they were good ..really good and the shipping was super fast.. I just couldn't let my first review stand..I had to correct it..

Pleasant surprise
Maybe, I'm spoiled and/or expect too much, but the mass majority of these dates were (literally) mashed/smashed together, so when you tried to extract a single date from their bag, instead one ended up with 2 or more smashed dates, in a very non-appealing state. But being a practical-person, "taste" is more important then looks, and in that regard, quite edible, and mushy, too!

Sticky, and has pits.
Soft, big, juicy. But a bit sticky, and I thought the smell was a bit off, almost fermenting. Still has the pits, be careful giving to kids. And, use a different kind of container, this plastic is hard to dip hand into without getting sticky hands. Couldn't find a shelf date. Good til ?
