Love the look and function of this rain barrel. It is helping to get water to a difficult part of the yard. I even bought a soaker hose to slowly water plants in the area. It's working out great! One note is that it bulges in the back when it's full. But I've been using that as an indicator for how much water is in it.
The rain barrel looks great in our yard! I have already planted some plants in the top section. As to its use for storing rain water, we have not had any rain since getting it set up. I built a stand to get it up off the ground to make it easier to get the water out. Here's praying for rain!
This was exactly as described. Works great. The color blends well with my terra cotta pots.
Very nice item, definitely would buy another!
Like the two outlet spouts to remove water
Great amphoras to collect water. Great design!
The rain saver is pretty simple, well made, and if we ever get rain again in Texas, well we'll see! The reason for the 4 star rating is because there was no hardware (faucets) that were supposed to be included. Luckily I took the ones out of my old cistern and just reused them on the new one. I could never find out how, other than to return the cistern to get replacement faucets sent to me. Oh well!
Except for the spigots it appears to hold water okay. The issue with the spigots is that after I'd attached a hose to drain the barrel, I accidently nudged the spigot with my foot and the entire assembly came out of the barrel. I'd used the supplied plumber's tape and made sure I hadn't overtightened it. I also didn't hit it with very much force as I was sitting on a short stool and simply shifted my weight. I'm not sure the threads, being plastic, weren't damaged. I'm buying another water barrel within the next week and the jury's still out on whether I purchase the same product.
Looks good but has a few design flaws. Bulges in the back when full, water squirts out of holes in the back & runs down the wall of the house, & water pools in the reservoir. No way you could put plants there.
As expected
