The coating must be removed by an abrasive cleaning pad, along with warm soapy water. Rinse and pat dry using a towel or paper towel. Now, you are ready to pre-season on stovetop. Don't for get to use your oil after seasoning. I have seasoned mine and it turned out great. Also, there are a lot of videos on you-tube to help you with your pre-seasoned process. After you have seasoned your wok, you don't have to season it any more. Just rinse with warm water and add a thin layer of oil after each use to prevent rusting. The more you use your wok, the more it will become seasoned to keep the food from sticking. I have also cooked vegetable fried rice, and it turned out perfect! Excellent Wok! Excellent Choice!

Works exactly as advertised. I use mine almost every day with my induction cooktop and get delicious dishes every time. It does take a while to get it properly seasoned though.

Make sure to scrub and season. Works awesome. Absolutely love it. Great value.

It works very well. Hard work removing the factory coating to season it. Warps slightly after high heat becoming a little rickety. Doesn't effect me much on a gas stove but you may want to reconsider if you have a glass top.

I'm not a big fan to Imusa Products to be honest... I haven't had a good experience with most of the Imusa Products I've tried but this one I do like.

This Wok will eventually get the job done! The instructions are not useful YouTube is a little better when it comes to seasoning this WOK which is a must! It took a long time and a lot of work! Not rust proof. It arrived damaged but I needed it for dinner right away and didn't have time to get a replacement. The quality is flimsy. Still in need of a really great quality piece at some point.

DO NOT buy this item. Got rusted really bad and Walmart won't refund the money, they make you deal with the supplier. This is very dangerous to use, bad quality

Comes in plastic coating for shipping that needs to be removed before cooking do not buy unless you want to spend hours scrapping away, get a pre-seasoned one.

Very cheaply made product material showing signs of rusting after only one use, terrible.

Rusted within 2 uses/a week of purchase (as another user mentioned). I have had different versions of woks for 25 years and this is by far the worst EVER. Terrible product. Going to try to return. Do yourself a favor and go with any other wok (I've had better luck with $5 woks to be honest)
