Pharmacist John Wayne
John Wayne plays a pharmacist in this Western "In Old California". Don't worry, he's still John Wayne and he still does everything in this that he does in all of his westerns. The major bad guy in this is Albert Dekker. He's about as nasty as he's ever been in this movie. But he sure is a good actor. Of course Wayne rolls into town and falls in love with Dekkers' girlfriend. But of course you know everything is going to work out fine in the end. It always does in a John Wayne movie. I'm just going to mention the Blu-ray itself. It is on the Olive label. They rarely have subtitles on their releases and there aren't any on this. No extras either. The picture is really good and clear and the sound is really good, clear and loud enough. You would think it would be different with him playing a pharmacist but it's still good guys and bad guys and the good guys always win in a John Wayne movie. Well worth the price. If you're a Wayne fan you should have it.
