This was such a nice break from the awkward medical plastic-cone the vet had on my dog! It makes a nice neck pillow for the dog as well. With that said, I'm not sure this would have been suffice in the first few days of my dog's dewclaw injury, b/c he was doing pain-med influenced magic tricks to get to that injury to lick it, (which infects it!) However, now that his injury is healing, this softer brace is almost a comfort to my dog and is working quite nicely in the last days of healing!
Fits 15 pound perfect. Very accommodating for doggie and me! A lot better than the collar the vet pushes for a lot more $$$$!

I got a size M to use for a mini schnauzer. My dog can reach his legs with it on. So it was useless.
