Work well with my metal detector.
Use with my metal detector which has not volume control. With this little inline volume control, I can now adjust volume easily to my headphones.

A bit flimsy, but they do the job
This is my 5th or 6th volume control device. They all work, but every band breaks far too easily. I'd suggest getting more than one if you like having volume control at your fingertips.
