My only complaint: the Screen scratches easily! Look into a screen protector or just rawdog it and let it get ✨ distressed ✨ Perfect for anyone that wants to quit streaming and go back to wired headphones that have better sound quality! Never going back to streaming again after this!
Great for if you want to listen to music without all the hassle of apps and other junk. It does have a different interface than the original iPod but that really isn't a bad thing. It is easy to use and load music onto. I have a Mac and it is a simple drag and drop. Great buy, even if it was another 50 dollars more, it would be worth the price!
I absolutely love the design of this MP3 player because it looks so much like the old style iPods! I used to have one when I was younger, so buying this one was a blast from the past especially since you can select your song choices with the wheel in the center of the MP3 player. I've found the controls to be easy to operate and navigation between playlists is pretty straightforward. The sound quality is excellent without any distortion or anything. I like having the option of listening to my music on this player instead of always having to use my phone so it doesn't drain my battery. I would definitely purchase this again if anything ever happened to this one!
Unfortunately I had to download and buy a music app called dump media. It converts all music from Apple Music, Spotify, Amazon music, and YouTube music. Then you can add dit from the saved files on your computer. It's 40 for thirty days 200 for the year of 90 a month free the first month. I just could find any other way to get all of my music on it. I've got 600 songs on it so it hold tons of songs. It connects to all of my wireless headphones. Volume goes very loud.
Has great customization if you're into messing around with rockbox or creating your own themes. Some of my genres didn't get detected but that is fine. So far it is worth the purchase. I added 900 songs so far with no problem. Yes the audio isn't the best, but it isn't so horrible I can't even listen. I am not an audiophile though. Some of the ui is weird to navigate like the shuffle, repeat and creating Playlists. If you organize your music well on your pc you shouldn't have many issues. Make sure you don't connect tor disconnect the player before ejecting and turning off /on the file transfer mode.
It works great and holds a lot of songs. The battery isn't the greatest if you're using Bluetooth, or if you shut it down a lot. I also had some problems with the memory but it somehow fixed itself? Hahaha. At least it works now. Overall really been enjoying it for the past few months.
If you don't care about how your music sounds, then this is great for you. It can fit so much music on it, but it sounds tinny and muffled even through my really good Bluetooth earbuds. It does feel like an iPod, with some differences. If you don't care about sound, then you should try this.
For the price it's decent (at least after replacing the internal micro sd card with a better one. The one BIG issue I've had is, if you need to connect to Bluetooth to anything that requires a passcode (like my car stereo), there's no on screen keyboard that pops up and I can't get a Bluetooth keyboard to connect to it. Some AirPod models (including the one I have) apparently also have connection issues. Also, there's no real way to create playlists other than manually creating folders on a computer and copying it over that way. Overall the form factor is a nice iPod type experience, but the software is a bit too much like an early 2000's cheap mp3 player. You can flash Rockbox on it, which gives it a bit more functionality, though doesn't fix any of the issues I listed above.
I have really mixed feelings about this little player. I use it every day when going for walks. The bad: Battery life is really poor. Seems like I have to charge it every few days after using it for an hour or two a day. The built-in player is clunky but OK. It uses Bluetooth 4, which is ancient, and I've experienced earbud drop-outs and disconnects in places where my phone works fine. It doesn't always recognize pause/play taps from newer earbuds. The FM radio only works with wired earbuds or headphones, and is mediocre. The built-in speaker exists. The overall build quality feels a little cheap and flimsy, and it doesn't look waterproof at all. OK, that's the bad. The good: It is very small and lightweight, and easily fits in a shirt pocket. 128GB is a zillion songs, I have my entire collection on it. The screen is bright and clear. You can install DropBox to replace the original player, which I strongly recommend. DropBox is clunky in its own ways, but is a nicer player overall, and you can customize it like crazy. I like the color, and can load a DropBox theme to match it, or a theme with huge fonts so my old eyes can read the screen without glasses. The clickwheel and buttons feel nice and work well. Recommended if you really miss your old iPod and want an updated version of it without the walled garden. Not recommended if you're hoping for Apple quality, long battery life, or modern Bluetooth.
I'm honestly surprised with how poor this mp3 player is. Out of the box it showed a lot of promise. Its cute, the menus look straightforward, it has a headphone jack, the click wheel works, I was super excited. I was hoping for a good ipod replacement and this is not it. My first complaint after loading around 20 albums was that once you go into artists, it is a huge menu of all songs rather than having it divided by album. you can sort the whole list by album, which is not exactly what I wanted, but it's tolerable. My main issue has been with adding music to the player. I cannot get all of my music to show up. Some albums will stay, but half won't add to the player. Sporadically they will go onto the player, but it seems like most of the time it just skips over what it's adding. The player also crashes every time I try to scroll through the albums menu. It is not what I was hoping for at all. There isn't much of a point to having a 128 GB capacity if with only 20 GB worth, the player can't process what it is doing. I'm glad it wasn't SUPER expensive, but it is still really disappointing.
