I read some of the negative reviews and decided to buy this anyway, and I'm glad I did. It takes some getting used to because there are so many options for reading ECMs on a car. After a little learning curve, it becomes very easy. I must've saved at least $1000 diagnosing and repairing the car myself. The device does not come with batteries (four AA), but it comes with a cable to attach to the OBD plug in the car and a very nice protective case, and also has a pretty thick, detailed user manual.

LOVE IT!!! Purchasing this scanner has saved me hundreds of dollars just in a few days. Between mine and my wife's vehicles and then those of my grown children, I have save $$$$ just in diagnostic fees alone. The all system scan report goes much more indepth than just an average DTC scan and notifies you of potential problems.

a little tricky at first to navigate but every function listed works and honestly the money it saves makes it a steal. I'd recommend this scanner for anyone wanting a way to diagnose their DIY fixes or even just as a secondary opinion before committing to a repair cost.

I have to say Iv'e been a mechanic for 30 years and this thing is awesome it's spot on with car issues and easy to use even for a novice and the fact that it pairs with with your phone to go online to help out even more is a plus no more scanning youtube to find code definitions. The manual is easy to read. If it updates for years to come without a issue I'm sold, i will recommend it to people i know

Pricey but worth it, covers the majority of DIY services for more modern vehicles including ABS bleed, Hybrid Battery monitoring and others that lesser scanners can't touch. This scanner is a decent future proof against ever more complicated cars. Straight forward to use, popular for a reason, you won't regret this purchase anytime soon.

The first shop I went to wanted to charge me some crazy amount on a maybe, in the second shop just gave it back to me and said they couldn't figure it out.. I seen this scanner online and it was definitely more than I wanted to pay, but I had to figure something out. I was skeptical, but I bought it.. I never use a scanner before my life within two minutes of plugging this into my car. It told me everything that was wrong with it. I was wholeheartedly impressed. As far as I'm concerned they paid for itself the first use. Now I just wish you could print the money to fix it.. 100%

The scanner is nice but won't work for me so had to return. I bought this scanner for the bi-directional features but my car doesn't support most of the features. So I am paying a lot of money for something that a $50 scanner will do. Not saying it is not a great scanner. Just not for my use

Hooked up to ‘08 Saturn Sky redline a couple of days ago. Did find a DTC on the radiator fan, but couldn't get synced with the app on my iPad. Was hoping to be able to activate the new pressure sensors on the new wheels/tires, no luck so far. And was wanting to find how to reactivate the key remotes, but haven't yet. Maybe it's me, but things aren't as easy as I hoped.

the 5610 doesn't do what I need (reading injector balance rates on my Duramax Silverado. ) looks like I'll end up returning it. The big frustration will all aftermarket scanners is that everyone makes them sound like they will do everything except make your coffee, but when you buy one and get it home, the features you need aren't there.

This scanner is very odd, is very inconsistent. Vehicle has a code on it 100%, but this item does not pick up the code, it goes back and fourth with red light then green light on this particular vehicle. It doesn't pick up the code that is in the vehicle, even when there is a check engine light on it :(. Very odd.
