This was really convenient for me. It was already made and frozen. I just popped it in the air fryer and it was done. Preparing it this way, the outside crisps just like Chinese takeout without leaving the house. The value was good too. It was about the price Per pound as lunch meat chicken. I will definitely be buying this again.
All my purchased and prepared InnovAsian white chicken meat meals have been simple to get oven-ready, delicious to enjoy eating, with the tasty sauces, and easy to clean-up. I personally like the all white chicken meat, it's juicy without worrying about biting into cartilage, like some fast food Asian restaurants serve knowingly, or unknowingly. And if you like the flavor and texture of Japanese sticky rice then you will also enjoy InnovAsian's sticky rice, goes great with their dinners. Just add Sweet Soy Sauce to the rice (find at Mitsuwa Market, in Torrance, CA or on-line) top off the sweetened rice with furikake (it's a Japanese seasoning for rice, made with minced seaweed and usually has white or black sesame seeds. Enjoy!
The honey sauce is sweet, a little tangy and I think I taste ginger or citrus. I enjoy it but some people might think it's too sweet. Adding soy sauce to the rice helps balance out the flavors. Sesame oil adds a nutty depth. I've tried a lot of the frozen dinners from this brand and like them all so far. I toss some of the chicken pieces in an air fryer, mix with sauce when done and add the aforementioned condiments. And sesame seeds to be fancy. I usually have some jasmine rice already cooked.
I am genuinely impressed with this InnovAsian Crispy Honey Chicken. It has become a total lifesaver for those nights when I want something that tastes like a real meal but I do not have the time or energy to cook from scratch. The chicken actually gets a great crunch to it in the oven, and the honey sauce has a nice sweetness that is not too sugary or artificial tasting. I usually serve it over some white rice with a side of broccoli, and it honestly feels like a high quality dinner. The family size bag is a huge plus because it actually provides enough for everyone to get a full serving. If you are looking for a quick and delicious freezer staple that tastes better than most takeout, you should definitely give this one a try.
Just made this (in oven) last night, added asparagus %26 green onions, served over jalapeno rice. Half a box of chicken, served 3 people. The chicken is indeed crispy, the flavor is very mild, would be good to add, either a hot honey sauce or add red chili flakes to sauce provided. Definitely will add to our rotation!
We've tried a few of the InnovAsian frozen meals now, and the Crispy Honey Chicken was definitely a hit with the guys in my house. The sauce has a good sweet flavor without being too much, and the chicken stayed fairly crispy for a frozen meal. (cooked in the oven) It's super convenient for busy nights when nobody feels like cooking or going out for takeout. We paired it with rice and egg rolls and it made an easy dinner that everyone actually finished. Definitely nice to keep in the freezer for quick meal nights.
We buy this often. Its easy on the pocket book. There is enough to feed 3 adults and a kiddo dinner. Prep time is 5mins or less. Put it in oven set a timer your good. I do stir the chicken pieces up about half way through cooking time. But if I dont its just fine. We serve with rice and a little oriental salad ( save time buy the salad kit). Our house likes everything we've tried from this brand.
Loved it! Mixed a bunch of vegetables in with the sauce. Cooked the chicken in the oven. Cooked some rice. Added the chicken to the sauce and vegetables and put it over the rice. It was delicious! I did this with the general tso's and orange chicken. ALL YUMMY!
personally i wasnt a big fan. it has this weird sausage flavor to it that was not enjoyable and just sticks to your palate. however, i didn't feel like cooking and this was a great way to have a lazy just throw something in the oven kind of night
I teied to give this many chances but no matter how it was orepared after I put it in the freezer and no matter how long I cooked it, it was squishy inside like it was not cooked. Even if outside was crispy/burnt even at some parts. I wanted to like it and thought after time it is just what it is and I'll have to deal with it VS buying complete raw chicken vs ready to eat by microwave and oven in minutes. Guess I'll havw to spend more to get good quality. Sucks because again its easy aka doesnt take long. BUT cant take it tasting rawish anymore it makes me sick.
