This stuff is delicious!! I love the spicy sweet sauce and the tender bite of chicken. I will definitely be buying more of this!! FYI... the package says 6 servings, but clearly, whoever had that idea is not from the south...lol.
I don't eat any processed food, because I'm on a Carnivore diet, but my daughter loves this Chicken and the Sauce, she has it, with Steamfresh Broccoli, and Rice. I buy 4 boxes at a time and use to buy the 40 oz. Box from Sam's Club, until they discontinued carrying this product. I also buy the Orange Flavor Chicken, for variety.
WOW! What a great meal. I was so excited to try this! For the most part I followed the instructions on the box, with the exception of adding large chunks of white onions, and cooking 10 minutes longer because I like my meat a little crunchy. (But you don't have to make it crunchy) it has a great texture, and oh my goodness, these are so yummy! I made chicken, rice and even purchased a few egg rolls to enjoy on the side. My husband said this meal was just as good as our favorite local Chinese restaurant. I have now included this in our weekly rotation! You will love it!
Not as good as carry-out, but better than nothing. I heat the sauce with the addition of some hot pepper seeds and use fresh bagged broccoli florets lightly steamed. It really does turn into a delicious meal with some rice. The other brand sold at Walmart was icky.
I'm so addicted to this..its mainly the general tso sauce that has my thumbs-up. It's pretty hot but tasty. At 1 time i think innovation had a teriyaki chicken so i would mix the sauce from that with the general tso sauce to cut down on the heat. Since I cant find the teriyaki anymore, i buy teriyaki marinade to mix with the Tso sauce. In the Innovasion there is waay more sauce than needed so when i get enough of a sauce mix, I buy less expensive chicken nuggets to use with the sauce mix.
This was amazing. I have only had a meal like this once and it was awesome ,The Lucky Star it was so memorable that I bought this to see how it compared. The chicken amount was plenty along with a surprising amount of the delicious sauce! I microwaved it all and before you knew it I had a generous amount of the General Tso chicken for 4.. Between my boyfriend and myself we ate a , more than single size serving, of this meal with the refried rice of the same name and loved it. I will definitely will buy more of both the chicken dinners and the rice for times when I can just have it at home but will treat myself once in a while with the Lucky Star for a trip out! The chicken alone is something to rave about and the sauce is great and if you love close to authentic Asian meals go with this. It will curl your socks! I will always keep it on hand!
I like the innovasian products for a very quick treat. Within less than 1 hour on the stove I was enjoying General Tso's Chicken. 😎 It is best if you put the sauce on sparingly after you fry the Chicken. You never need both packets of the Sauce. I always keep the extra sauce for other things, like: Leftover Chicken.
i weighed it. 1.21lbs. they include the sauce in the overall weight of the product. the sauce weighs 1.04lbs.. so i guess it literally adds up to 2.25lbs like the package says - but almost half of it is sauce!!!!!
I knew I wouldn't be getting restaurant quality General Tso's, but this incredible. Its' essentially little chunks of chicken strips with spicy corn syrup. It's so sweet nobody could eat any more than two bites. It has absolutely no other flavor at all... not even pinch of salt or a dash of soy sauce or anything, but a bit of red pepper flake. 🤢
Therw was barely any chicken in this, maybe 10 small pieces , the sauce was horrendous. I've never tasted anything like it. It's my birthday so we splurged instead of going out for dinner. No one could eat this we had to throw it away. And I'm the type of person who will eat anything, even things I don't like.. Just absolutely disgusting. No it doesn't taste anything like general tsos chicken. I'm begging you. Do not buy this. So gross. Also maybe 2 portion sizes
