This is basically just tempura chicken bites in a bag and packets of sauce. I air fry enough chicken for myself, heat up some of the sauce and then toss them together. Add over or next to steamed rice with sesame oil and some soy sauce or Maggi with brocolli on the side. It's pretty good. Will get you from hangry to happy in 15 minutes.
Everyone loves these except my husband who doesn’t like chicken that’s okay that just leaves more for my son and I the orange sauce is wonderful and I don’t like oranges but this stuff is as the saying goes FINGER LICKING GOOD we also get honey flavored ones also FINGER LICKING GOOD the best sweet chicken I’ve ever had GOOD GOOD GOODNESS
I really enjoy the service I get from Wal .art associates. i can no longer drive so depend on the help I get. when my delivery person brings my groceries it is so nice to be greeted and talk to for a minute. Great job people and keep up the smile and the job you do. you are the greatest.
Deelicious! My family loves this stuff, I've even seen them lick the plate! lol. One family size pkg is not enough for my family, so I make this - Plus a smaller size pkg as well. I serve this with Jasmine Rice and a green vegetable on the side. I boost the sauce by making a mixture of 1 Cup of Orange Juice with 1 Tblsp of Cornstarch, and 1 Tblsp of Sugar. Stir the OJ mixture well just before adding it to the finished entree. Then stir constantly, and continue cooking over medium heat until the sauce thickens and boils, about 2 minutes longer. It's also good to add the grated peel of one orange and a 15 oz can of Mandarin Oranges (drained) just before serving. Feeling Lucky? Pick up some Fortune Cookies for dessert! hahaha...
I am genuinely surprised by how much I enjoy this InnovAsian Orange Chicken. It has become a total staple in my freezer for those nights when I really want Chinese food but do not want to wait for delivery or pay the extra fees. The chicken actually stays crispy if you bake it or use an air fryer, which is a huge plus because a lot of frozen meals end up soggy. The sauce has that perfect balance of sweet and tangy with just a little bit of a kick. I usually serve it over some white rice with a side of steamed broccoli, and it honestly feels like a high quality meal. The 36 oz bag is a great size too because it actually provides enough for the whole family to have a generous serving. If you are looking for a quick and delicious dinner option that actually tastes fresh, you should definitely give this a try.
I enjoyed the flavor of the sauce and the texture of the chicken, especially when cooked in the air fryer. The chicken turned out both crunchy and tender without being overbearing, and it was very easy to prepare—it only took about 7 minutes. However, for the taste, the overall flavor leaned a bit too sweet. It felt like it was missing a bit of saltiness or acidity to balance it out, and I would have preferred more notes of soy sauce or a hint of citrus. Overall, the texture and ease of preparation were definite highlights, but the flavor could use better balance.
My family and I really like the taste of this chicken but I am really disappointed with the amount of chicken you get in this package. The package says 6 portions but I don't think that is correct at all. I think they add a huge amount of sauce to make you think you are getting a large amount of chicken. To feed a family of two adults and a kid adequately you would have to get this one plus one of the smaller boxes and at that point it might just be cheaper or the same to go get Chinese from a restaurant. Probably will not buy again.
The company has really went down hill. There use to be two full packs of chicken within the family size box with two packs of the sauce. Now there is one pack (still the original size of 1 of the 2 packs) with two packs of sauce. You now have far too much sauce for the little amount of chicken you now. This is terrible that the company decided to do this. Buying the family meal size is not worth the cost.
The weight is mostly from the sauce, not a lot of chicken. The 36 oz box came with a bowl full of sauce. Not worth is. The sauce was very citric, not the typical orange chicken sauce.
This meal used to be a family favorite. The amount of chicken has now been cut in half. The meal is supposed to feed a family of six. Looking at the chicken in the container that’s only if each person gets about 4 nuggets. They’ve more than doubled the sauce amount since the chicken has been reduced. I can only assume to meet the weight they claim the meal contains. Very disappointed.
