Bought these on a whim and glad I did! I made some white rice then prepared the chicken in the air fryer and the sauce in the microwave (to warm it up) and BOOM!! Super quick dinner for 1, 2, or 3 (depending on how hungry everyone is lol) The sauce is sweet and tasty and the chicken is white meat and always consistent.
Innovation has a large selection of fabulously tasting Asian frozen food. I have tried almost all of their products and have never been disappointed. For several of the main course dinners, I add additional vegetables (sautéed onions, bell peppers, snap peas) and always serve with the fried rice or noodles. The family size definitely feeds a family of four.
Deelicious! My family loves this stuff, I've even seen them lick the plate! lol. One family size pkg is not enough for my family, so I make this - Plus a smaller size pkg as well. I serve this with Jasmine Rice and a green vegetable on the side. I boost the sauce by making a mixture of 1 Cup of Orange Juice with 1 Tblsp of Cornstarch, and 1 Tblsp of Sugar. Stir the OJ mixture well just before adding it to the finished entree. Then stir constantly, and continue cooking over medium heat until the sauce thickens and boils, about 2 minutes longer. It's also good to add the grated peel of one orange and a 15 oz can of Mandarin Oranges (drained) just before serving. Feeling Lucky? Pick up some Fortune Cookies for dessert! hahaha...
This is the second or third time that I purchased this item. The orangey, tasty sauce makes this an irresistible treat. I tried not to purchase too many packaged food for health reasons, but sometimes this is hard to avoid either for lack of time to cook or even out of convenience. After trying this, per one of my relatives requests, I fell for this product. I just serve it with a mixed salad of greens, lettuce, cucumber, avocado, grape tomatoes, little chunks of roasted turkey and cubes of natural white or feta cheese sprinkled with a little bit of extra virgin olive oil, half a capful of apple cider vinegar, and a sprinkle of salt and pepper if desired. This is all so yummy!
these are by far the best chicken options with a flavored glaze that actually tastes great. the chicken is quality meat and I actually have cooked most of it in the microwave and finished it in airfryer when I'm in a hurry. No rubber texture. Yesss it's a little on the high price side but it's quality, you get what you pay for.
The product tastes amazing, best frozen selection Chinese I have found. The sauce is spot on, and tastes amazing . However the price for the amount you get in this package is crazy. I mean I counted 10 actual pieces of chicken in the plastic bag, 10 piece for almost 6 bucks, I think you could at least put 15 in so it looks like I am not getting robbed. I can go to a chinese restaurant and get a small order of orange chicken with 20 pieces easily for 6 dollars , and I get fortune cookies and rice.
These are basically chicken nuggets that you toss with the thawed sauce. You can get your own nuggies and then toss them in an orange sauce of your choosing.
I had heard good things about this product. We didn't care for it. There is a lot of breading; it doesn't brown; the interior looks like ground chicken something. It's not like the orange chicken you order at a reputable Chinese restaurant. The sauce tastes like sweetened, colored cornstarch. Honestly, none of it was enjoyable in the least.
They are way too sweet. You shouldn’t expect them to be like the kind that you get in a restaurant. The next time that I might try them I would not put the sauce on them. I would use the sauce as a dipping sauce in a separate small bowl.
What a joke! On the side of the package it states there are three cups of chicken. I'm fairly certain they have more sauce than chicken. See photo for comparison with regular kitchen scissors. All these companies need to accurately reflect the amount of product in the box.
