I needed something more substantial than paper sleeves but smaller than regular cases. These fit the bill perfectly! These cases are perfect for storing my music CD's in the kitchen--scratch-free & egg-free. I like the fact that the cases are translucent enough to be able to read the CD label through the case. I deducted 1 point from "ease of use" because sometimes, when empty, they are slightly difficult to open. In short, I am 100% satisfied, and will definitely buy more.
Not only was this the product I wanted but this was, by far, the best price I could find. With the shipment to my nearest Walmart, it was also the easiest. The only negative I can even think of was the time it took for the store to get it. That being said it did get there nearly a week BEFORE they said and I was in no real hurry anyway so, I would guess that's not even a negative! Good job Walmart!
These are without a doubt the best cd/dvd cases on the market today. I have in the past used many other type cases from 'round clamshell' type poly cases which really don't fit anywhere and really do not close that well to 'jewl cases made from Styrene plastic' that will break at the slightest provocation From simply trying to open it to 'OOPS you dropped it, And wouldn't you know it, it landed on part of the floor that was'nt cappeted (and in both cases your jewl case BROKE!) These Cases are better. These cases are made of 'Polypropelene', a very rugged and durable plastic, The center tab (for the cd/dvd locking) is positive and holds the media securely , The cover closes with a 'snap' and will not fall open. (as the styrene cases often do with age or use) And best of all 'These cases fit into the slots in the C.D. Tower and storage units'
Clear cover looks pretty much same on all edges. Once I figured out that all I needed to do was take my finger along edge to feel the difference, it was easy to open. Now, I can do it with no hassle at all...but it did take a couple of times to get the hang of it. Really like that image on DVD is clearly visible and case is slim, exact fit, without added unnecessary bulk. This is a repeat order for me.
I was tired of those two little plastic tabs snapping off the hard plastic jewel cases rendering them useless. With these polyprolene cases, the tabs are non-existent. I suppose that these will wear in time, but nothing lasts for ever. I guess the seam that connects the front and back covers could rip after many open/close cycles, but I suspect that would occur after a long period of use. And if you're wondering, yes, the front cover does accomodate an insert. I'll be back for more of these and you can't beat the Walmart price.
I have purchased several packs of these CD cases over the years and consider them among the best if not the best. In the past I used the plastic types but they were flimsy and brittle - hinges would constantly break and / or the plastic would crack. Many times they would be broken or cracked when I opened the package. The Innovera Slims have never been that way. They are sturdy and the hinges very durable. They also, being slim, take up far less space that the others. The cover is clear so as to allow the CD track listings to be easily read. I would recommend these to anyone who desires an inexpensive yet durable means to store their discs, both CD's and DVD's.
GREAT ITEM
These cases are much more durable than the regular hard plastic ones and more compact to save room, similar to Redbox DVD cases, I would recommend these over regular disc cases anytime!!
I started at a big box store for this item. They had them but at a higher cost for the exact same product. A big plus was I did not have to pay for shipping. Site to store for free saved me even more. Glad I did some research!
The other cases are brittle and break, these are durable and last I had these many years ago and I am glad I was able to find them again. Please continue to carry them.
