So happy with this purchase. We needed a flexible solution that would work with a bannister and wall with baseboards of differing heights. This did the trick. The gate would occasionally slide loose and need to be adjusted and was a pain to adjust. If this gate ever comes loose, it'll be a snap to adjust. I would not hesitate to recommend.

Just arrived today. I thought I would take it out of the box just to look at it and the instructions. It was much heavier/sturdier than I expected. It looks absolutely great. Then I realized that it is also ridiculously easy to install. I installed my configuration: gate plus one extender, in a doorway in less than five minutes. I still need to go back and permanently mount the cups to the wall. That will take me a couple of minutes more tops. Love it, love it, love it. Does the gate swing both ways after installation: absolutely. Someone's comment says it doesn't. Wrongo! I use this to control the location of our dogs. I will buy another for my bedroom now that I know how good they are.

It isn't a wrought iron gate but it keeps an 80 lb dog out of places he isn't supposed to be. I bought two of them to keep an intact male Doberman out of a carpeted room that he thinks is his. He was very unhappy about these gates. I'm very happy about them. They seem pretty flexible as far as doorways. They fit great. The friction fit attachment points are solid but don't seem to be damaging the doorway. If you really wanted to dislodge it, you could but it would take some effort. I don't have mine wound up as tight as I could either. Just tight enough to do the job. I consider it money well spent.

it's surprisingly strong and sturdy for being a tension gate. for context, our puppy is a 40lb shepherd mix who loves to run like a maniac with incredible speed, but hasn't developed her break skills yet. she has yet to knock it over despite body slamming it on multiple occasions. smh. she is fine, the gate is still standing and we're working on controlling our indoor speeds.

we originally got it for a narrow entry way to keep our new puppy contained to the kitchen. it was so hard to find a gate that fits narrow spaces like it but this one fits a variety of widths. now that the puppy is older, we moved it to the bottom of our staircase to extend her boundaries and it was easy to add the extenders and for a wider space. PLUS - it's does not require you to drill holes in the walls (great for renters like us!).

This is our 5th baby gate. They are used to corral dogs in different parts of the house. Two have had to have the lock mechanisms, which work with dual squeeze buttons, taken apart and reconstructed because of the difficulty of squeezing both latch buttons at the same time, eventually breaking the latch. I really like this particular baby gate because it has ramps on the hinge with a final rest that allows the gate to be left open at 90 degrees, but will also automatically shut the gate as you pass through it. We use bungee cords on the other gates. I also like that the cat can slide through the gate on the hinge side.

I like this gate! I ordered 3 of them! They keep my dogs out of the rooms when I don't want them in there. Works great! Could be a little easier to open.

Opening mechanism is easy enough to do, but complicated enough I think it will stop toddler for now. Overall very happy with the gate

The gate was easy to install and works great. I installed using the pressure method and had no trouble with the instructions.
