Good Disposal
A "3" rating is a little too harsh but the "4" stars seems a little too favorable. The good news is that this garbage disposal was exactly the same as the one that broke, so it fit into the previous installation location fine. It works well but it doesn't sound as "smooth" doing its job as I would expect which concerns me. It also did NOT come with a new power cord to plug it into the outlet and the installer had to use the "old" cord from the old disposal. There were no instructions to tell the installer to remove a "nickel-size" plug from inside the pipe to the dishwasher, which if it was not removed would have caused the dishwasher to have flooded over the floor the first time it was used after the disposal was installed. The disposal was also shipped as boxed; i.e. not inside another box and one of the installation parts/pipes arrived broken and a trip to Home Depot was needed to solve that problem. A side note: I opted to use the Angi service that was offered for a "professional" to install the disposal when I placed the order and that experience was basically a nightmare. I will never use Angi again since they do not understand the meaning of "professional" and their communication between them and Walmart was basically non-existent. So if your old disposal was the same name and size as this one and if it is OK that it sounds a little "grinding" when it works, and you have a person installing it who is a licensed/certified Plumber, then I'd say go for it.
