The screen is exactly as described. It works great. We used double sided gorilla tape to tape it up on my living room wall. This is not an easy job. And it is definitely a multi person job. My husband and I struggled but we got it up there. It would have been a lot easier if we had another pair of hands or even two more. But the screen is as large as it says it is and now that it is up there, it works great.
The material came rolled up in a heavy duty carton that kept it safe and in perfect condition. I ended up building a huge 12 foot by 6.25 foot frame out of 1 x 4 wood and then covered it with 1/8" backer board. After attempting to get the backer surface flat and all the screw holed filled in, I glued the screen material directly to the backer board. I made a few mistakes, creating air bubbles in between the screen material and the backer board (the glue wouldn't stick to the material I used to fill in the backer board seams. After cursing about it for couple days, I decided to pull out my heat gun and see what would happen if I applied heat to the screen. To my surprise, I was able to heat shrink the material without causing damage and get rid of all the bubbles. I now have a flat surface to project on! The images on the screen, pop! This material does NOT stretch, so if you're looking for material that can be pulled around a frame and stapled to the back of the frame, this is not the product for you.
Worked perfectly as expected
What can I say, simply amazing! $56?? Are you kidN me! I saw here at WalMart projector screens 200 inches, ranging from $13,000 to $8, 000, Some cheaper ones about 2 or $3,000. 177 inches, just a little under 200 inches, no big difference. But $56?? and the quality is excellent! I mean I put this screen on my living room wall. With thumb tacks. You don't need to build a screen, just thumb tack it to your wall. No wrinkles, perfect! And the viewing? It's like you have a theater in your home. You can't go wrong with this buy. For $56 dollars ? To get a 177 inch screen it should go for at least $1500. It's a real steal. Only $56 and it look like you have a $3000 screen in your home. No wrinkles, just thumb tack it to your wall and your good to go. I'm very happy! Thanks' WalMart! You did it again! What a STEAL!
Can't wait to try
We Love It!
Outstanding
Had been using my projectors on painted walls and this is my first time I bought a projector screen and the picture quality surpassed all the walls I had watch it on. 58 bucks? Had been researching for a long time and nothing came close! Thanks Walmart for an outstanding quality screen!
I was kind of scared ordering this screen. wanted to upgrade my projector screen. my Epson 1060 projector image couldn't fit my older screen, and that was 119 inches. the only difference between my old screen and this new screen was just the screen material, and its way bigger. took up my entire wall, and still had some leftover screen. I had no idea, how I was going to put this on my wall. since I don't have any idea how to build a projector frame. but I found a way, I also purchase velcro extreme outdoor tape, thought the tape wouldn't hold the screen up, its 5 days now and the screen still on the wall holding on strong. PIX1 IS NEW SCREEN PIX2 IS OLD SCREEN SEE THE DIFFERENCE
It's an ok product. For the most part, it works. The little squares tend to distort the picture a bit, especially words. Trying to get it up on the wall was a bit challenging and if you're not careful, it can leave creases on the fabric. I think next time, I will just paint the wall with a silver screen paint.
