Good value ,mixes fairly clean

Great beginner salt for new reef keepers! I started with this salt and currently using for the last 2 years. I'm just at the point where I may need to start dosing to replace trace elements because of coral consumption. My only issue is that it does mix a little dirty and leave residue in your mixing container. Tip use a cheap surface skimmer and that helps a lot!

Well priced, reliable salt. I have used this salt for years and it never let me down. I have tried the more expensive salts but this works just as well. If you want to store salt for a long time tropic marin can be better better since you don't have to worry about any settling or growth in storage container. However i mix mine and use it within a few days and this works perfect. I have a mixed reef with hard and soft coral.

The price was right and it is so nice having my reef salt delivered when I need it and not having to trust my LFS has it in stock. When they don't, the alternatives for salt for a reef tank can break the bank. Instant Ocean is just as good at a reasonable price. It mixes clean, the salinity is spot on the measurements and the other elements keep my reef happy and healthy.

The bags have a yellow tint which looks like something leaked on them. The salt has large hard chunks which I have never had that problem before ordering from other people.

I haven't found a Cheaper price anywhere on this Salt. It mixes well and is on target for the pH, Calcium and Magnesium. Iodine is a little low. What I dislike, is the box is really beat up. I always open it up at the Store, and the bags have always been intact.

The product is fabulous abused it for years but the price just shot through the roof

It is a very good product. However, the price has gone up. I assume this is due to the economy.
