Instant Pot Cuisine 6-Quart Multi-Use Pressure Cooker

This is my second instapot, have one at my primary residence I'm currently at my summer shack at the lake and didn't bring my instapot with me. All of my cooks are done on the grill here but I was craving some good rice so I ordered this model from Sam's Club since it comes with the glass lid for true slow cooker capabilities. I've cooked rice a couple of times with it, Baby back ribs which I finish up on the grill True slow cooker beef stew This is a work horse for me I'm sure I'll try other things this summer with it

Mom and Dad always used a big cast-aluminum pressure cooker on the stove to do roasts and a few other things. This thing does ten times that - some of which is of slight interest to me, but cleanup is easy and it stores away under the counter so it's not constantly taking up space.

Had to replace an older electric pressure cooker after it broke. Replaced it with the name brand of Insta-pot. Was very pleased at the multi function buttons it had, the extras that came with it such as the clear glass top, the egg cooker trivet, a wire trivet. The stainless steel pot is a great improvement from the last one. Easy to clean. Plan to use it as often as my last one.

I've heard so much about these and happy to have bought one. Just learning how to use it. What I love best is not having to having to have multiple appliances as this does so much in one.

I love my pot but wish there had been a cookbook included with the pot.

This is a very good price for a very good product, this is the second one I purchased this mont. I love it. I bought one for my cousine one for my wife, I'll be buying one for my neighbor soon.

Great product. Recipes available on YouTube as well. Makes hard boiled eggs very easily. Great for chicken thighs, Boston butt BBQ, beans, Sweet potatoes.

Only used once but was delighted with result. Simple and safe. Only CON is that no instruction book came with the Instant Pot for first time user. Made it difficult to even begin cooking. Made me somewhat uncomfortable using it, because I didn't know if I was doing it correctly. A little scarey.

Positives: Cooks foods fast, tender, and is easy to clean up. I made pinto beans, from dry, from rinsing to sitting down to eat, in 1hr 20min. I also made some of the fluffiest, soft, moist russet potatoes in it. And lastly some killer rich complex soup. It takes any dried herbs and makes them soft and infuses then into the meal. Negatives: The manual is full of safety warnings, but very lacking in cooking info that you can use to figure out how to cook things. And they direct you to go to their website for recipes and other information, which can be annoying. Then the container inside can only be filled up to 2/3, which I don't know if this is 6qts or not. But for other items, such as beans, and things that swell, you can only fill it 1/2. Then the sealing ring, per the instructions, has to be replaced after a fairly short time, in my opinion, but it says it can last 12 months. Though I have talked to others that have the same machine and they have yet to replace it. But this is the biggest negative, to have a part that has a short lifespan. Final Verdict: Though the manual is lacking for a newbie, the website is clunky, and is frustrating, I would buy this machine again. Why? Because I am single and cook for two. When I cooked for a large family, things were easy. Now, it is hard to make home cooked meals for two. This machine makes it so I can cook meals that would be otherwise unwise to make in small batches, such as dried beans, because of the amount of time involved. But with this machine, I can put in enough for two, and it will have it cooked in a short time, and the food tastes wonderful, like you slow cooked it overnight.

I ordered online from Sam's club and received a used, dirty instant pot. Not only that, but pieces were missing.
