InterDesign Non-slip Silicone Mini Oval Placemat, Lime Green

The interdesign non-slip silicones mini oval placemat is very sturdy and great for separating foods in to groups for feeding infants like babies to 1 or 2 years olds.The silicone materials placemat is soap and water washing safe also getting it pretty cleaned without much scrubbing.

I chose to review the InterDesign Non-slip Silicone Mini Oval Placemat as part of the Walmart Sparkreviewer program. I have a 23 month old grandaughter who has recently decided that throwing her plate off her high chair is a good way to tell us that she is done eating, lol. I wasn't sure what to expect when I chose it but I have to admit that it is a pretty cool product. The first thing that appealed to me was its lime green color. It is vibrant and bright. The placement was delivered in a box but upon taking it out of the box it was packaged in a zippered plastic bag, which could be used to store it when not in use. The material is 100% silicone and it is very soft and pliable. The packaging states that it is food safe, BPA free, dishwasher and microwave safe, which is great. There is a plastic sheet on the bottom of the mat that you are to remove and after you remove it and place the mat on a table it really does not move because it suctions to the surface. I tried it on several types of surfaces....wood table, granite counter and on the high chair tray and the product was true to its word, it did not lift up or slide. To remove the mat from the surface all you have to do is release the suction by lifting up an edge and it comes right off. There were several styles of the mat that you can choose from. The style I chose was the mini oval and it is a little smaller than I thought it would be by its picture but it did say mini in its description. The base of the mat is actually about 12 x 9 1/4"and the food compartment is about 9x6". There are 3 food compartments and a cup holder that is designed with grips to hold the cup in place. My grandaughter got a kick out of putting her cup in and out of the cup holder. The sides of the food compartments come up about an inch, which is great for keeping the food in the compartment and not all over the place. Two of the 3 compartments are the same size and the other is higher and more like a small bowl or snack cup. For lunch I put some mac and cheese in the little bowl and some blueberries and chicken in the other 2 containers and everything fit great. I also used it for snack time with some cut up fruit in the side containers and some gold fish in the other container. I would imagine that you could use the cup holder to hold a fruit cup or yogurt as well but I haven't tried that yet. The compartments in this mat aren't very big so a sandwich cut in half didn't really fit in each side but I cut it in quarters and put 2 pieces in each of the side compartments and they fit pretty good. This mat is a great size for a 2 year old but probably not big enough for a 4 or 5 year old, however, the mats do come in larger size. Because it's so flexible you could easily bring this to a restaurant with you if you wanted to. It also washed great in the dishwasher. Overall I thought that this product was great and I would recommend it to others.

Since our dining table is near the carpet, when we camp out in the living room, there is carpet all around. Our toddler is learning and getting better at keeping her food on her plate, but I was still spending time cleaning up the carpet after every time she ate. So I'm really thrilled with this tray and plate. No more plates on the ground! Because the smooth underside works like a giant suction cup, the tray-plate doesn't get flipped over or slide off the dinner table, her play table, or the coffee table. It holds a variety of treats and sipper cups without any trouble. Since there are different compartments, there are no more complaints about food "touching" the other foods on her plate. The extra tall curves on the sides of the tray make it much easier for her to pick up foods, like dry cereals, small pretzels, bits of fruit, shredded cheeses, and so forth. With the raised edges around the compartments, the tray saves money too, since the food isn't spilling off the plate and ending up wasted. Cleaning up is super simple since the silicon just rinses off, or I just throw it into the dishwasher like any plate. I think this would also make a really nice baby shower gift, too.

I love this Neat & Tidy Jr. Mat Plate. I hand washed as directed in warm water for first use (it is dishwasher safe), and it really does suction nicely to the counter. It is 100 percent silicon, and has a really good thickness about it. The mat is BPA free, PVC free, and Lead free, which is a relief for any mother. My son loves the neon green color. I have also tried it on a high chair tray, and it sticks there well too! I love how the mat has a built in cup holder, and a bowl area. My 7 year old is loving the mat, but I will use a lot more once my baby gets here. I plan to pull the high chair up to the corner once the baby gets big enough, allowing me to use counter space for feeding and wider area for cleaning afterwards. My sons favorite brand metal 13oz water bottle fits perfectly in cup holder. This will be a great solution to the spaghetti mess of toddlers. I can position high chair at bar and have a nice long area over counter space for mess so it does not get on floor, and walls. Really cleans up nice, and easy in Dishwasher.

This is a great design for a placemat and plate all in one. The thick silicone sticks to any surface, but with a lift of any side removes easily by an adult. It stays in place even if kids are pulling on the sides of the food compartments. I especially like the cup holder feature. The cup fits snugly in place so no toppling cups, but the child is able to take the cup out and replace it easily by themselves. The food compartments are deep enough (6 oz. each) to contain plenty of food, but kids can still reach in easily and feed themselves. This is especially nice when out to eat. I even like the lime green color, which means you won't forget it! The placemat adheres to the table, providing a clean surface for mealtime and easy cleanup. It comes with a big clear bag that is designed to be reused; however, I found that having to wash the bag after each use wasn't worth the trouble. The placemat fits in a large zipper type bag that can be replaced with each use so it still is perfect for eating out. It washes up perfectly on the top rack of the dishwasher, too. I just wish I had this placemat/plate years ago for my daughter. I will use it for years to come with my grandchildren. Highly recommend!!

This is a really nice and heavy duty mat! I love that it is also dishwasher safe. This will surely help us avoid some messes as each little container has a nice high lip to separate it from the others. The area. That can double as a cup holder is also good and tall.

This placemat is awesome. It is so light and durable and holds just the right about for the little ones. I like that it is so easy to clean and is dishwasher safe and can be used in the microwave too. It is just the right size for the table of all sizes. I like the color too. Awesome product.

This non slip mat is a game changer. My absolute favorite thing about the mat is that it IS DISHWASHER SAFE. Oh my goodness is that not music to a parents ears?! This product is a high quality silicone material that is sectioned off into different sections making meal time for little ones easy. By having the sections I always know the portions are perfect for my daughter. The mat ‘sticks' right onto a table or high chair and stays on during her whole meal. After being dishwashed the mat ‘re-sticks' with no problem. The cup holder is great because our high chair tray does not have a specific place for a cup. Because of the silicone material it can easily be taken with you if you travel or even just go out to eat. Beats giving them breakable plates or eating straight off the table. The green color is very vibrant, fun, and can be used for a boy or girl. The packaging is also very clever. It comes in a really nice quality plastic bag that you can use to take it with you easily! If you have a little one I would recommend trying out this plate / mat to make your meal times easier!

This non-slip placemat is absolutely perfect! I can't believe the quality and how it makes snack and mealtimes so much easier! My favorite part is that it is a non-mess clean up every time! The compartments are a life saver as it helps me portion control and keep food on the table. I like the 100% silicone and that it is dishwasher safe. The bright lime green color is fun and I can pack this up and bring it to restaurants or on-the go! This is the perfect product that will be a game changer for feeding time!

This is such a neat idea, a plate and a placemat all in one. Kids love the fun shapes and eating their snacks from it. It will hold several snacks and a drinking cup as well. Being made of Silicone it is very soft and pliable and it is easy to clean, pop it in the dishwasher or wash it by hand. The design is great, not only does it suction to any flat surface, it is easy to use, excellent quality and durability. Oh, and since it will suction to any flat surface...it helps to prevent spills. I love this, you can give them snacks or meals in the plate and if it needs to be warmed up just put it in the microwave...wonderful! Quick and easy, bright vivid color, an attention getter. :) I recommend this product to everyone.
