International Caravan Trinidad Wood Patio Bench

I was happy to find something at such a reasonable price that looked so nice...especially since my primary use was to dress up the front porch (not like I was expecting it to see a lot of heavy use). I was pleasantly surprised when it was also easy to assemble and actually quite comfortable. I've already used it more than I thought I would!

I love this bench. It fits between the columns on my front porch. I am concerned because it really is wood and the sun is very strong in the summer months. I applied Teak Oil on it before putting it outside. I plan to put the Teak Oil on it every three months or so. Husband cracked the bench because he tightened the screw too tight, so please be careful of that. Also, I don't think this is for a large, heavy person to sit on. It was very easy to assemble and we had no problems with any defects.

matches the trinadad rockers i just bought. looks great and good quality product.

I absolutely love this bench! I assembled it myself and everything I needed was included. It is sturdy, seats 2 and looks great in the front of my house. I was going for a sort of modern rustic look and this bench was perfect!

Pretty good piece for the price. A few blemishes/scratches on the piece, but at this price can't complain. A little tricky lining up the holes to assemble, but nothing a hammer couldn't fix. All I need is an inexpensive cushion for the seat.

So happy I found Hayneedle!! I saw this product on another site but they ran out of stock. Which turned out to be lucky for me. Hayneedle was a lot less expensive. Delivery arrived a 5 days earlier than reported. Assembly couldn't have been easier! The seat is solid, not spongy like others I've had. It's light weight. I'm installing it outside, uncovered so I will put a coating polyurethane on it. The only thing I would have liked to see is wooden plugs for some of the screw holes. I'll pick them up myself.

Good oil finish, easy to assemble but directions could be more detailed. Catalog description accurate. Good design and worth the price.

Just received it so do not have much to assess other than the assembly and appearance.

I bought two benches. I have not fully put them together nor tested how they stand up to real use, but am disappointed that the wood has several very noticable gouges in it. I need them soon, so will not return and am hoping they are sturdy and comfortable. Also, the directions are horrible -- insulting that no one whose first language is English even proof-read them. Stupid misspellings and errors.

Things were going well until I tried to put the seat on and it is so badly warped that I could not get all the screws in. I am not going to pack it up and send it back because I'd have to take it all apart, pack it up and *then* pay the freight to ship ot back! They certainly don't make THAT easy at all! Hopefully the seat will stay in place on its own. My only hope is that I can warn some unsuspecting shopper to stay away and not make the same mistake I made in trusting that this would be a quality product. :(
