The table was easy to assemble. We were actually impressed with the quality of the table. It is made of hardwood, has a smooth finish and is sturdy. Also the drawer glides in and out easily. It's a nice size for a hall table. Over all it is a well made piece of furniture.

We love this small table, my husband cut 3" off the legs so that it could be used beside a chair. I painted it to match our newly installed flooring. It turned out to be a mission style end table that goes well with our other mission furniture.

Great little table! Easy to put together. The REAL wood looks nice. Trying to furnish a kind of finished basement at our new ""old"" house has been interesting. We have a Craftsman style pool table in natural oak that everything else needs to work with. Since the company that broke it down in our previous house will be delivering it next week I needed to stuff in place and figure out if I want to paint, stain or just use wood oil. I'll update later with pictures. Is this heirloom quality furniture, no. This is a great buy for a sturdy piece of furniture.

The product s very good quality and nicely polished, ready to be stained or varnished. It's pretty light in color but can be stained pretty easily. We stained it in medium oak for one of the rooms and will be ordering another one and leaving it's natural color with a semi-gloss finish.

I'm not giving it five stars because (1) some hardware was missing; and (2) we had to re-drill one of the holes, which weren't lined up properly. The final product, however, is lovely, especially now that we've stained it.

While the unit is solid and easy to assemble, it is very difficult to stain well given the nature of parawood, which is a hardwood from the rubber tree. I wish it had been offered pre-stained, but alas it was not.I recommend paint over stain unless you are prepared to spend a good amount of time finishing. Also, the drawer fits only loosely in its slot. There is no sliding hardware.

Product arrived without any hardware for assembly. Called Hayneedle, am waiting for them to get back to me. They have to check to see if the hardware is available to ship to me separately. May have to buy on my own, or they will ship me another set, which I will have to take the hardware out and ship back. The process could be difficult, I will have to see how well they are able to handle it. Currently have the wood pieces waiting to be put together.

The assembly guide described the various parts by letters, A, B, C, etc. but none of the parts were labeled. Without labeled parts one needs to be sure of the part orientation, left/right, up/down, front/back. With the stand mostly complete, i tried the drawer. But, the drawer was way too small for the opening. The drawer would not stay in place because the slide grove was not engaged due to it's being undersized. (Pictures included.) Note the large gap around the front of the closed drawer. The shelf under the drawer was also undersized. Not recommended due to poor fit.
