This inflatable hot tub is amazing! It is definitely the best purchase we have made in a long time. We had been wanting a hot tub for several years, but did not want to spend $5,000 to $8,000 on one. We were also concerned about winterizing it, since this past winter it dropped below 0°. The Intex portable hot tub solved the problem. It is VERY affordable, and we can deflate it in the winter and move it from our screened-in porch to our basement and continue using it all winter. I am a 52-year-old female and I set it up by myself without any problems. There are no leaks. The temperature is wonderful – 100° is just right for us, but it will heat up to 104° if desired. My 54 year old husband has had lower back pain for years. He is very comfortable sitting on the padded floor, and he says the bubble therapy and the heat works wonders on his lower back! We were shocked at what a great massage the bubbles actually give you. It is a little noisy when the bubbles are on, but no more than we would expect with the force they create. An unexpected benefit from the Intex hot tub is how soft it makes our skin feel. I was concerned that soaking in hot, chlorinated water might dry my skin, which already tends to be dry anyway. Not at all! Instead, I noticed after being in the hot tub only three times that my dry skin had actually healed and there were no longer visible signs of dryness. (We have not added any oils/softener to the water. In fact we have added nothing except the chlorine floater - we have only had it two weeks, and the test strips show everything is balanced.) I attribute this skin softening effect to the built-in hard water treatment system that is part of this hot tub's functions. I would use it just to keep my skin soft, if for no other reason! I agree with others who said that two adults can fit in it very comfortably, but if one more adult was in it, it would be a little crowded. We decided to upgrade our electrical outlet to a GFCI outlet, since that is recommended for any place where electricity might come in contact with water. We bought a GFCI at the local hardware store and one of their employees was kind enough to explain and demonstrate how to change our outlet to a GFCI. He assured us that we could do it ourselves. After taking every possible precaution, we installed the new outlet ourselves in less than 30 minutes, and it works great. And we have peace of mind knowing that the outlet will shut off if water should come into contact with it! The bottom line is that we love our Intex hot tub and would purchase it again without hesitation. We have no complaints, and we can honestly say that it has exceeded our expectations beyond what we could have imagined!
I've seen all the ads for home spas that run into the thousands - then I came across the INTEX BUBBLE SPA at Walmart for under $400. and was amazed when it was delivered FREE to my home. And I put it together by myself in less than an hour! Not bad for a 72 year old widow with no mechanical skills. LOL Very simple instructions. I suffer from Arthritis and this little spa is like getting a hot - full body massage! It's fully self-contained and heats to 104 degrees with 120 jets places all around it. Only 78 inches across, it fits in a corner of my spare bedroom. Yes! Inside my home! It holds 200 gallons of water so it's not too heavy for the floor and it's near a window for easy filling and draining so I can use it year round in any kind of weather. And I do - first thing every morning and just before bed every night. I'll never be without one! I even posted pictures of it on Facebook and I know of 4 "friends" that got one. (Maybe I should ask for a sales commission...)
This item came in a timely manner and we were extremely please with the quality! Setup was very easy. It heated quickly - 2 or 3 degrees/hour and it maintains the heat. We usually turn it off during the day and it holds the heat. We will turn it on at night so will be at temperature in the morning. Of course, it is summer time and easier to hold the heat. The sides are solid when inflated and there is a cushion of air on the bottom so sitting is very comfortable. I highly recommend this spa. Filters are easy to change and chlorine tabs really do the trick. You can order filters from Intex. It may say you can't order more than two at a time but you can do so by calling them. It seems to be cheaper there than other places.
My index pure spa bubble therapy spa is awesome! It was very easy to set up, all you need are some chemicals and a day for it to heat up and your good to go. I have mine set up in my garage, when summer is over it's going to be set up in my basement. It's so relaxing, I love it!!!
What a wonderful product! Completely durable, surprisely durable. I have 3 boys who get in this every night before bed (it helps hem relax and calm down before bed). They jump around and splash so it holds up well. We filled it with well water so it took almost 48 hours to completely heat to 104. Only drops a temp or two the whole time it runs. Doesn't seem to be raising the electric bill much. Comes with the pump for air, and hoses and everything for set up. 100% great investment. Comes with 2 filters and the float for the chlorine tablets. I only wish we would have bought it sooner...completely made owning a hot tub "bubble spa" affordable!
First, Hot Tub was purchased from Walmart site that promised delivery within 2 weeks, I recieved it in 3 Days! Opened Carton and was able to set up tun within 45 minutes. It takes about a day to get to Hot Tub temperature. Nice and comfortable, bubbles seem to appear from no where when switched on. Kind of a high pitched vacuum cleaner sound when on. Nice for the price. Does lose some temp when just sitting without heat or filter running.(maybe a little too much heat loss) But nice for the price.
I picked this up for $400 during the July 4 sale and in general I'm happy wiht my purchase. I've always wanted a hot tub but couldn't see paying 2000 to 3000 on an entry level hard shell. 104 is plenty hot for me and the bubbles are good. THe main disappointment I have is that the inflatable tub for the hot tub cover had a leak right out of the box. I like the fact that it is portable so I can take it inside during the winter. It does lose about 4 degrees when the bubbles are running for over 30 minutes but 100 degrees is still hot enought for me. Other than the leak with the cover tube I'm happy with the purchase for an entry level tub.
Nice looking product. Easy direction for assembly, took about 2 hours with site prep. High power consumption. Heats water 2 º per hour, slow to heat. Kept tripping the circuit breaker. You need a separate outdoor outlet. The cord is too short, but very heavy duty. Needs more information about chemicals to keep water clean.
This is my second one of these, and in both cases, the inflatable parts work perfectly and the whole system is great, wonderful, but the control unit only lasted one week on the first one, and the pump that circulates the water for the heater only last about two weeks, so I have returned the second one as well. Once again, when it worked, it was wonderful - just as good as a real spa, but sure didn't last!
The Bubble Spa was easy to set up with two people. However a few days after getting it up and running we had trouble with the control panel freezing up. Which you could not use any functions or turn it on/off.. Called customer service which was not a good experience. It is an intermational call center and the staff do not understand you or speak good English.. Had to call 3 times just to get a claim form e-mailed to me. Now being told that it will be another 7-10 days before I get a new control panel if they approve the claim.. Seriously thinking of taking this spa down and returning it to Walmart.
