We love these inflatible kayaks! We got one for me and my husband and an extra for kids/friend visitors. Bought inflatible for ease of transport. They are relatively easy to set up though was a workout for us (we're not young but in our late 50's/mid 60's) and light to carry to the water. It's wonderful to be out on the rivers and lakes!
I purchased these inflatable kayaks for our glamping vacation in Maine. They were stable, sturdy and comfortable to handle on the lake. Inflation took a few tries with the first kayak, as we brought a hand held electric pump with us. The spring loaded air fill had to be moved to deflate position, then quickly moved to inflate position when chamber was blown up. After mastering it, second kayak took no time at all to inflate. Deflation was quick and easy. If you use the hand pump that comes with the kayaks, it will take a s bit longer to inflate, if you do not have access to electricity, and you would not have to move the valve, just insert the pump hose and pump it up, the hand pumps will do the job. Deflation was quick and easy, turn the spring loaded fill valve 1/4 turn to right and let the air out. Folding the kayaks back to how they were packaged, so we could get them comfortably in their carrying bags took a little practice on the first one, then the second one was a breeze. One of the kayaks was missing one fishing pole end cap that goes into the fishing pole holder in the boat. I contacted VM Express customer service and they will be sending me the missing part. I would highly recommend this product to friends and family.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] i love thissss. the oars are so easy to put together. it comes with a pump (a manual pump though, tiring) and a giant backpack for the boat as well!! there are more attachments. it honestly has everything one would need. the size is also amazingly unexpected, it's bigger than other inflatable kayaks in my opinion. quality is also superb.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This kayak is so sturdy and big! It's made with a nice thick material and is made very smart. My husband and son both fit in that with plenty of room.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] * I received this product for free in exchange for my honest review.* The Intex Excursion Pro Inflatable Kayak is great for someone just starting out, like myself. You only need to buy some life jackets and fishing poles, because everything else you need is included. Set up is fairly quick and easy with the included pump, and the kayak is lightweight and easy to carry. The included oars seem to be good quality and they work well at controlling the kayak in the water. Though I have only taken the kayak out in the water one time, I can already see that it has been made well and it will hopefully last for quite some time. I have not noticed any leaks or defects at all, and the kayak performed great when put to the test. The only complaint I have is that the included storage bag doesn't seem like it is going to last very long. Not a big deal, I will just have to purchase a different bag for storage purposes.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] While we have not had the chance to actually put this kayak in the water due to the freezing weather and storms, I can't even begin to tell you how impressed I am with the quality of this kayak. It is made of such thick material that my daughter has enjoyed just lounging in it inside of our house. It's also impressive how small everything breaks down - including the oars! This came with a booster seat too which I think will help my younger daughter, a camera mount, mounts for fishing rods, a gauge for filling it properly as well as a manual pump. We used an electric pump just for speed, other than that, we cannot wait to get this in the water!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It shows on the shipping details it was delivered to a totally different address in a while other state. Well, somehow another one still arrived pretty recently. They said it wouldn't, so was very stoked that it still did!! We have yet to test it out, since we just got it recently, but it looks awesome! We cannot wait to use it this summer!!
This is a sad excuse for a safe kayak. We purchased the kayak in June 2020, after using it a few times the seams cut loose on the bottom. It was not over inflated. I am an experienced outdoor guide. Also, the inflatable seats were such poor quality that they leaked also. I spent many hours trying to repair seam leaks In both the bottom tubes And the seat cushions. The boat became patently unsafe. The warranty department at Intek was unreachable for several months. Busy busy busy. They had a systemic construction problem with this design. And yet refused to honor my warranty after delaying it to the point where the warranty had expired. Dont be fooled by the great design and graphics. This is no pro kayak its a cheap kayak that ruined our summer! By the way, this is the first negative review I have ever written on a product. So buyer beware!.
We have one of these kayaks. It is Full of pinhole Leaks in the floor seams. It appears the seam has not been constructed correctly. As soon as we fix one we find another. We only use the hand pump to inflate. We only use the hand pump to inflate it. We own a Innova inflatable kayak and have used that for years in lakes and oceans and it's never needed a repair.
