I picked up the Intex NW-00454-75 cloth-like wiping rags for working on cars and general cleanup in the garage. They do a decent job soaking up oil and other fluids, but the best part is not having to deal with washing dirty shop rags. Just use them, toss them, and move on. They're strong enough to handle greasy jobs without falling apart and soft enough for wiping down parts or tools. The box is convenient to keep nearby, and the quantity lasts a while. If you like doing your own work and hate laundry day as much as I do, these are a solid addition to the garage.
My husband uses these working in his garage for wiping his hands and wiping oil. He says they're stronger and more absorbent than paper towels. He hasn't tried to rinse and reuse because he said they're soiled enough when he gets finished with them that he doesn't want to bother trying to rinse them. He uses these a lot and makes sure he doesn't run out of them.
One word thick. This is a great item for shops for your house. Anything you need rags or paper towel towels for this will cover both. Great product. They are extremely durable you almost can't tear them at the perforated line. Great for grease or oil. Extremely durable.
I use these to clean up literally everything that doesn't require an actual rag . I dusted the house, cleaned the windows, the kitchen, the bathroom, the bedrooms. I would even attach them to my swiffer mop and sweep/mop with them. They absorb quickly so spills were never a problem, and they're durable so you can wash dishes with them and they won't break apart and clog your sink and they're soft and gentle enough to use on mirrors and other surfaces that are prone to scratches. I used them to dry my dishes and wipe my glasses and never saw scratching or streaks left behind (but I was also gentle)
**FILTERS WATER**: I put one of these on the faucet, tested the results with a Culligan/Zero Water Purifier Tester Meter that comes with the water purifier pitchers, and tanks, and saw that this Intex rag filtered the water down to Zero, and from at least thirty-eight, depending on if right after being cleaned with Zorbx. Cleans better than a charcoal toothbrush, getting scum off that nothing else seems to work on, as does a ToolBox Rag, only stronger, and although the no fiber assertion could be misplaced.
These are great! I use them in place of traditional paper towel. Take out of box and put in a cute vase on my counter. They are a little difficult to tear but one towel goes a long way! Doesn't break down so you can rinse and reuse one towel for dinner clean up.
when i have the extra few bucks i opt for these over traditional paper towels as they get used very quickly in my house. these last 3x as long and are much stronger than the typical paper towels. They can be washed off and reused without ripping which makes cleaning up dirt in the bathroom a breeze. not too mention they do t lane streaks on glass or mirrors. win win.
These rags are heavy duty and hold up well. I like the white because it will not bleed color if exposed to chemicals like bleach. The price is right and they work very well for working on vehicles. They do not shred.
Intex fiber wipe Rags, are large quantity, questionable quality.Tack/lint free yes but that's where it ends in my opinion.VERY Hard to tear off individual rags :production error? Were the individual cords running through the rags meant to be slightly sliced at the junction points? There is a difference between absorbency and porosity, these are more porous, they don't respond to liquids like standard rags.(Suggestion to the Manufacturer)Half the number of rags, make them thicker and easier to separate and the product would be in the 4*/5* range.I'll be looking for a better alternative after these are gone.
Impossible to tear off a sheet for use one-handed - you must stop what you are doing, and with two hands, tear each connection with some force. These have a terrible slick feel to them, and are so shear that wiping paint on them means that the paint immediately bleeds through to the other side. Do not waste your money.
