I love it although sometimes it can be a pain since my AC moves around sometimes it falls but it's been a life savor for directions or if I really need a charger while I'm in the car and not home.
Slightly aged packaging but the seller shipped promptly and it all got here in brand new condition. The first generation Sense 1s cost $50 elsewhere and the Sense 2 models $65. Was happy to find them at $20 a piece. We already have two of the Sense 1s installed in our pre-Apple CarPlay cars. They've worked great since we got them in 2023. Sense 2 models can charge newer iPhones a little faster with Qi-2 level charging, but I couldn't care less about the upgrade. The Sense but doesn't always work — it depends on light conditions. But that is a minor inconvenience given how well they clip on to the a/c vent blades, and how robust they are when set up right. Because they're not dashboard or windscreen mounts your iPhone doesn't heat up in the sun. And because the a/c vent is cooling the iPhone while it is charging wirelessly, charge-generated heat is also taken care of. With our old windscreen mounts, sunlight heated up our phones so much that they would shut down during our long drives. Being able to charge your iPhone without an additional cable is a plus — and of course, if you don't want to overcharge your device on long trips you simply unplug the 12V insert/plug. I've never seen anything like iOttie in Australia, the UAE, South Africa, India or the UK (the other countries I hang around in) My sister who lives overseas doesn't have anything like this for her car and I bought this one for her. She's going to love it, no doubt!
Overall a great charger. The automatic grip on phone is a nice touch, and the charging piece works well. Only negative is when traveling and you hit a big bump, the device does seem to lose some of its grip on the vent panels it attaches to, typically though all that is needed is a slight readjustment.
I got this for my husband since his truck cant connect his phone directly to his radio for music and stuff. It worked very well and charged his phone pretty quick. He was surprisingly happy with it.
it's a great little phone holder that doesn't require much input for it to work great. it feels well built in the hand but i just wish it had a little button or switch to turn off the wireless charging when not needed
works as expected charging my phone. the auto sense is really cool. easy to set up. very happy with my purchase
mounted easily, hold phone as it should, and being able to charge your phone is really convenient.
It's nice! The only reason I give four stars is because I think it's a bit pricey for what it is.
It works very well charging androids and iPhones. It doesn't however hold my iPhone very well, it has frequently fallen off while driving, which is not only hazardous while driving but very annoying as well.
I had a previous iOttie vent mount, which I loved. I bought this one because it has wireless Qi charging and seems very similar in design to the one I had before. I could not be more wrong. My previous mount had a sort of button release in which you squeezed the buttons on both sides to release. This version is fully "automated", in which you press the buttons on both sides to release, which only works when the car is running. So, you get to your destination, park, turn the car off, and now you can't get the phone out. So you have to turn the key to accessory to get power to release the phone. This wouldn't be so bad, but it also seems to randomly release the phone while actively driving, without pressing any buttons. Perhaps this is a defect, but honestly the whole design is terrible. It relies on a proximity sensor to close the clips, so if that fails you are boned. Buy a different model, magsafe or manual release. This automated one had high hopes but ultimately failed.
