Minimal Kung-foolery, Maximum Movie
Staying true to the thematics of the original film, this sequel keeps its kung-fu reality-based, yet manages some extraordinary action sequences. Again, Donnie Yen shines as Bruce Lee's mentor, now having fled mainland China for the new dangers of a capitalistic Hong Kong. The influence of the Imperial West is the new enemy and again, the film expounds on the somewhat un-Chinese message of one man's indomitable spirit making all the difference in the world.

Great martial arts movie
Many well choreographed fight sequences. Nicely shot. Very well done movie. Well worth the $7.50 I payed for it at walmart.com.

Blu-ray test video and entertaining.
When I purchased a blu-ray player (DVD player died), I wanted to test the quality with a Blu-ray DVD. I choose 'Ip Man' and was completely mesmerized. Not even subtitles subtracted from my enjoyment. So, when 'Ip Man 2' was available, I wanted to see the ending saga. True, it didn't have the impact of the first, but very good. The 'villain' is one great actor.

Even Better than the First Ip Man
Quiet man (Bruce Lee's mentor) trying to avoid violence under oppression, but then can't-take-it-anymore standing up and kicking butt. What's not to like? You'll be cheering.
