This is a great litter box. I believe it helps with tracking, it doesn't eliminate it completely. My cat figured it out very quickly.
Good litter box with high sides.
Arrived 4-4-26 great packaging and fast shipping. was left at the wrong door, but I got my package. Thank you.
My five month old kitten loves this and its completely litter proof. No more sweeping up litter off the floor. I haven't caught my older cat, who weighs approx. 13lbs, inside it yet. It may be a tight fit for her as she's very chunky but I believe a normal size cat would have no problem entering this. Great design, I highly recommend.
My cat is really big %26 has a tendency to pee outside litter pan. Even the 2 piece kind so this one is perfect. Has catch gray w/ holes so when they get out most of litter goes back in pan. It's perfect height %26 no more peeing outside of litter pan. Works great %26 has hook attached to one side to hang scoop.
My cat has always preferred to make a mini mountain of litter near the back of the box to pee on, but she would still typically squat a bit to go. Lately, I noticed I'd been having to mop up pee around the box because she was peeing against the wall, not in the litter. I figured she's just getting tired of squatting, so I ordered this litter box. It works just fine! Way less litter being thrown about and no pee on the wall and floors. She likes the privacy too.
So it works and does the job but litter sticks more , so more cleaning needed. I purchased specifically for the bathroom as slightly smaller with rounded edges than previously purchased models by Petmate. I prefer petmate because of how the litter actually interacts with surface of box. With this model, cats have to enter and exit from the top so they will leave litter on lid. For some reason, it sticks with this model requiring extra clean up between full wash. Wet litter also seems to stick more to the internal surface. Yes that happens sometimes but this one results with extra stickiness . So really have to scrub more when doing doing a full wash clean. Not sure if its because of moisture in the bathroom but showers aren't taken this bathroom. With my rectangular models by petmate, there may be some litter stuck but for not as tacky/ sticky- easier to clean. And I can just invert the lid and dump granules bak in the box. And I usually use one of same brands the same in all boxes, so that isn't the issue. And another difference which may or may not be a factor is ease of lid removal. The lids come off easier with petmate model. These ha e to be unclipped to remove. My cats don't have an issue with knocking off the top but extra security of this model may work for u if your cat is more destructive. I have comparative pictures of the lids after usage.
We bought this in hopes of not having cat litter spread around our bathroom. It serves a purpose in that the cat can't kick litter out as it could with an open door or no cover whatsoever. However, the lid does little to keep the cat from carrying litter out on its paws. We've tried it for about a week, and we are still constantly cleaning up litter. There is less than with a completely open box, but if we'd purchased a litter box with one side opening, at least we could put out a mat and catch the litter at the entry exit. As it is, our kitten leaps off the top and litter spreads wherever she lands.
I really had high hopes for this litter box. My dogs always want to get in the litter box for a snack! I thought this one would put a stop to that, what I didn't think of, was that the cat doesn't like it! Refused to get in it. Had to run to Walmart and get one the same as the old one! Ended up costing a lot more.
I received a used litterbox. Horrible packaging, there was no tape. At least nothing broke. I didn't want to go through the hassle of returning it, so I just cleaned it and set it up for the kitties. My cats figured it out easily, and it helps with the litter.
