Log master

Matt 61 September 29, 2024

I've been looking at these log carriers fit a while. Nothing new except the stand. Very good construction. Strong stitch work. I've hauled only seasoned oak so far. Very heavy very dense wood. No problems what so ever. A very nice unit. I actually have two of them. One got home and one got my cabin.

Great value, only thing it should have had was rubber feet to protect wood floors.

Works Excellent

TreeZombie February 10, 2023

This performs exactly the way I was hoping it would. Actually a little better. I didn't expect it to go back on the stand fully loaded as easily as it does. The extra set of straps are sewn on it just the right way to allow you to slide it right onto the stand. Love this carrier.

Perfect Hearth-Side Log Rack/Carrier

CharlieCotton December 17, 2017

I bought one of these for my Mother last year and liked it so much I bought another one this year for myself. Makes bringing firewood from an outdoor log rack into the house very easy - the fabric and stitching will very easily hold over 50lbs of wood and the included tubular, one-piece, rack receives the loaded carrier easily - also keeps wood mess to a minimum.

I sure like this thing.

whiskeyjack February 15, 2020

In the old days we used a couple lengths of rope looped and knotted on both ends. This is much better. There are four web-belt material loops: two for carrying and two for support in the tubular frame. The canvas material is tough; the sewn seams are holding up just fine. If I was to nit-pic it would be the color of the black support loops: I'd make the support loops a brighter color for contrast against that black tubular frame. Sometimes it's difficult to see where the loop is supposed to fit over the frame. Another highly-recommended item from NTE..

Great quality for the price

DeWaltManZ January 1, 2015

For the cheap price, I expected this to be a mediocre product which would last only 1 season. I was pleasantly surprised that the fabric they used for the sling seems to actually be quite durable. I expect this will lase several seasons. The stitching is pretty heavy as well. Only time will truly tell of its durability, but so far I am pleasantly surprised!

Log carrier/stand

PDad January 15, 2016

This has worked out well for me - sure beats a plastic bucket!. You can load the canvas with logs, bring it inside and hang the carrier on the stand - very simple to use.

Ironton Log Carrier and Stand - 41 1/2in.L

LGuapo November 5, 2014

This is an excellent product. My only comment not totally in favor of it is when the carrier is loaded, its sometime difficult to lift it out of the stand without the stand coming with you or moving around. Easily worked around.

Log Carrier

Aber1 January 28, 2015

The log carrier seems to be strong enough for carrying the logs. The only negative comment is that once you get the carrier to the metal holder it is a balancing act to get the straps over the holder ends. The holder is very light and moves around when the canvas carrier is being strapped on to the holder. The straps used to carry the logs could be a little longer.

log carrier

dbwoodburner January 19, 2015

the stand is well built but the carrier itself is made very poorly. first time I put some logs in it the stitching for one of the straps came undone and the handle tore loose. Within 4 uses all of the straps had unraveled rendering the carrier useless. So I took it to our local seamstress and showed her where I wanted to have the modifications done and $15 later I now have a good log carrier! Two simple little changes and they would have gotten it right. so plan on some alterations if you purchase this log carrier.
