Using a vise-grip pliers to hold the extractor bit, a bolt broken below surface can be gently turned alternately CCW %26 CW to help remove the bolt, if the bolt is not rusted in place. Heat might be need to be applied to the material surrounding the bolt to loosen it if force on extractor seems to high when material is cold. Be gentle with the extractor to prevent breakage in the drilled-out bolt. Some bolts need to be drilled-out to appropriare hole size for re-threading with tap. Re-thread using similar gentle alternating CW %26 CCW turning of well lubricated tap until hole is re-threaded. These extractors should work fine in broken bolts that are not drilled to close to bolt thread diameter size, when bolt is not rusted or swaged in-place.

Disaster! The item price was too good to be real. I got a much cheaper item instead of the one that I ordered. Buyers be aware, if the price is too good usually there is some kind of scam involved. Also when you buy from third-party sellers on this platform the resolution process is kind of difficult to navigate.

I tried to remove a broken brake caliper bleeder screw with this, and the extractor just twisted and broke instead of removing the remnants of the bleeder screw. It's just too weak to be useful.
