IRWINQUICK-GRIP One-Handed Mini Bar Clamp, 12"

I have to support the review comment of Brian K. Early in the week I sought new rubber 'boots' for my Quick Grip clamps from a major retailer. They phoned IRWIN TOOLS to place a special order on my behalf as the boots were not held in stock. The Irwin Sales Consultant asked to speak to the customer (me) and he took my name and address and told me that the 'boots' would be sent directly to me, without charge. They arrived today - before the week is out - by standard post. How good is that for service. Irwin have won my vote despite the slight misunderstanding in that replacement 'boots' for my 100mm (4") Micro Bar Clamps were not included. Service and support like that deserves to be recognised.

I had to drill out a door for a lock set in a 3 foot wide pantry. I used the Quick-Grip MINI bar clamps to hold the pre-drilled 1 x 6 templates I had made for the job. In the narrow space I was working in and being able to use only one hand to operate the clamps while I adjusted the templates, these clamps were perfect. The boots and the clamping force never let the templates move once I put full force on the pistol grips.

These work great for small projects , they slid smoothly for easy clamping . I brought another brand that looks just like these ,, but they are not the same quality as Irwin mini clamps . buy the best Irwin ...

By far the easiest and best clamp ever. I wish the Home stores still carried this line. I have bought the new design which claims to be stronger but both have broke within a couple months. These are used daily on my sites and I demand quality tools to be in my trailer at all times.

We have about 6 sets all difference sizes and are the greatest thing since slice bread now we require replacement yellow jaws as some are lost. Where can we get them

As with many things.... quality drops with time. These aren't made as well as my 15 year old Irwin clamps but they're still decent and better than the offshore brands I could have bought. Not bad really, just not as robust in some areas of construction. They'll do.

this clamp is awesome for one-handed clamping and will do almost anything you need it to the amount of force is only limited by your ability to squeeze the handle The only drawback is the yellow soft jaws, they tend to not want to stay on the main body of the clamp and will fall off in your toolbox if not clamped together jaw to jaw. Irwin will send you a free set under warranty so its a winner other than this issue. Overall a great tool!

I have a shop full of clamps, these 6" quick-grip clamps are used more than any other clamp in the shop. I have in excess of 24 of just these, after 15 years of use I have managed somehow to break 2 of them.

I was give some quick grip clamps as a gift. Shortly are using them they started slipping. DO NOT BUY THE IRWIN CLAMPS THEY ARE JUNK NOW. 8-17-2020
