As noted under cons (not many characters allowed!), the quality of the products has changed a great deal in the 35 years or so I have been wearing your slippers. I still have a terry pair of secret sole clogs from before 2000 that have intact soles still properly bound to the (threadbare but) mostly intact (stretched now) uppers! I have a pair from 2009 where the edges of the soles are disintegrating and some pieces of plastic have separated. I would be happy to pay full price plus to get the old composition back!
This style works best for my feet. I have been buying this for years. However, my feet are size 5/5.5, so the 5-6 sizing makes them looser than what I'd like after they have been worn a week or two. Initially the padding is very thick and it makes the slippers conform to my foot nicely. After a few weeks, the padding gets tamped down and the slipper becomes loose on "my" small feet. If someone wears a size 6, then the slipper probably fits them much better after the padding gets tamped down. There is no smaller size I can buy.
These slippers fit well, are comfortable, and easy to care for.
Bought this as a Christmas present for my wife, the size is at least 1/2 size too small. She always wears a 7/8 and her heel hangs off the back. Very disappointed in my purchase since I bought this early before ran over the 30 day return period. Otherwise, the slipper is nice and is a good value so I would recommend Isotoner but would I would tell them to buy a whole size larger.
Love the style. I have hardwood floors and tile floors. Those are very hard on the feet. Need something with thicker soles. This style has a lot better cushioning on the soles than many other slippers. Can never find them in stores, though. #sweepstakes
When I get home, I immediately take off my shoes/sneakers and slip into my isotoner's daily. When I can I wear them to visit my friends as well as I have a bad bone spur, hammer toe and bunion on my foot that needs to have surgery when I am healthier. I love it now that I can wear my isotoner's 24/7 as a retiree at home most of my days.... thank you
Comfort is priority. We remove our shoes upon entering our home. The slippers go right on. As soon as stepping out of bed the slippers go right on. They wash nicely. They are an important part of home life. I have tried other brands and do not care for them.
My only caution is if you live in a warm environment like I do (Florida) that you realize the man-made fibers will retain heat. That's a great quality for cold northern winters, but I only needed something between my feet and the cool/cold tiles floors.
I've relied on these slippers for years. I had foot surgery, and these have been the best for providing good arch support and a sturdy outer sole, with soft, comfortable inside. I even overheard another shopper encouraging her friend to buy them. So I was puzzled and very disappointed when my recent order arrived. The "secret sole" is so secret that it's non-existent. The normal support is lacking, and the shoe fits a size too large. This causes instability. For those who need good support or have serious foot problems, these used to be a life-saver. Has Isotoner changed the design? I encourage the company to offer other colors and restore the former inner sole. And get them on the shelves!
When I ordered these, I got memory foam slippers instead of a Secret Sole. I have purchased Isotoners with arch support ("Secret Sole") for years, but these had memory foam. My feet slide out of them, and they are not comfortable. My son was able to find some that actually had the Secret Sole and gave them to me for Christmas. So much better than the memory foam. Please, Isotonic, continue to offer Secret Sole slippers, and don't mix them up when shipping.
