I've had a great experience so far with the PRO Aware 2.0. I can hear when someone comes in the shop while the dust collection, CNC, and other machines are running and they are comfortable enough to wear all day. The sound quality for the bluetooth connection to my phone is great for both. I was doing some testing with taking calls right between my dust collection system and CNC in full swing and the person I was talking to said they could hear some noise but it wasn't difficult to still hear what I was saying on the phone when normally I would have to step out of my small shop or at least into a back corner of the shop to take a call. Battery life has been impressive so far; only having to charge them every couple days. Overall great experience.
I am a carpenter and am really happy with my new earbuds. I live in a windy area and was amazed at the reduction in wind background noise. I take 20 calls a day and love being able to stay hands free and miss fewer calls due to loud environments.
They work exactly as advertised. The Aware technology drops amplified sound the moment ambient sound goes above 85 db. It also allows me to in crease ambient volume levels for when coworkers talk too softly for me to be able to hear them.
They work exactly as promised. I discovered that there were several sources of noise at my job when they capped the noise level to 85db several times during the first few days.
Overall, I like these earphones. The sound quality is good, the fit is comfortable, and the balance feels right in the ear. One downside for me is the power button—it's inset too far and hard to locate when wearing gloves, even thin ones. I don't have this issue with the Pro 3 earphones. One feature I do like is being able to leave them in and still hear people talking to you. However, unless you're actively using a tool, they don't block out background noise very well. I work in a small woodworking shop, and when my air compressor turns on, the noise isn't blocked. When I'm using the air nozzle, the sound is blocked. The same goes for tools like a miter saw or drill—the noise is reduced, but only if you're actively using the tool or standing right next to it. Because of this, when I'm generally working around the shop, I still prefer the Pro 3 for better overall hearing protection. I do like the multiple ambient sound levels, though I think the controls would be better placed on the left side. I wish these had better automatic noise reduction for background sounds, not just noise directly in front of you. Right now, I have to manually adjust the settings to block background noise, then adjust them again when someone talks to me. With the Pro 3, the noise reduction is so effective that I usually have to remove one earbud to hear someone. That's quicker in some situations, but over time it can cause irritation in the ear canal.
I had high expectations for this product based on your great marketing, positive reviews and even ChatGBT rating them the best. I was left disappointed. I work 40 hrs a week in a warehouse, 16 hrs a week in a woodworking shop and mow 3 lawns as well. They work ok in the warehouse but noise reduction in the shop and mowing not so much. I was disappointed with the sound quality of music too. Works fine for calls though.
These are worse in most ways to the older version. The blue tooth is really glitchy, the other two iso headphones I have work great, these are terrible. They disconnect, they don't take phone calls, they don't reconnect if you walk out of range and back again, and are lower max volume compared to the last gen. Also the buttons are not large enough to feel
If you're used to this style of ear buds you might like them .. I am not liking all the weight hanging on my ears and they aren't easy to just pop in your ear one handed and get it right every time. When you don't have one or both in your ears all the weight and wires just swing around annoying you and trying to slide off your neck. Unless you use 2 hands to line up the magnets to stick them together, which is not as simple as it should be. The sound is good at least.
use these on construction sites to block heavy equipment, compressors and nail guns etc. I listen to music while i work and the volume is so very low I can barely hear it. the noise canceling has lots of feedback and strangely amplifies the road noise of cars and trucks driving by. wore them one workday and they've been in the truck ever since, had hi hopes and was disappointed.
Left ear died after 4 days of use, background noise was intolerable except at the lowest level which means it wont amplify peoples voices. Work better as bluetooth headphones than for actually working around loud equipment.
