My husband owns a lawn and landscaping company. I think this is his third pair of headphones. He absolutely says they are one of the best sound deafening headphones around. This time he also got the free gel pads and he said they are also very nice.
Comfortable to wear. Still learning about all the features.
I bought two of these so it would be easier to talk to my father when he is at the range with me and because after much research, I found these to have the fastest reaction time to noise. I will say I had the earbud style prior to this, which worked great, but no matter what ear piece I used or how I inserted them, they'd fall out. The headset was the clear option. I have found that they do a great job cutting out the gunfire at the range, and the bluetooth sound is pretty solid. I have tried out the Sig Sauer and two other brands from friends at the range; while comparable, these have more comfort and feel sturdier. However, on 3 or 4 different occasions (occurring for both of us at separate times), had the experience of the sound of gunfire NOT being canceled out, but in-fact amplified as if it was regular conversation. Luckily for us, when this did happen, we were only using .22s or 9mm at the time. I believe this may be more on how the sound is reflected and reverberated in our surroundings over a defect in the headset. Together, at the time of writing this, we have collectively used these headsets approximately 30 to 40 hours and if necessary I could replace them with the same should anything happen to them.
I do give this product a 5⭐️ review, the sound quality is really good and on the ears they are decently confortable, overall, the piece that touches the top of the head may need some padding/sponge/cloth or something, after some time using them the top of the head hurts and they become uncomfortable since the plastic is straight resting on the head. Anyways, the sound quality is good and if they solve the problem with the padding and will definitely buy them again. PS. Battery life with AAA and the charging battery is great.
Tried it out today and it worked great it even cuts out the sharp tones of someone yelling or the dog barking while still allowing me to hear what's going on. This is even better than the pair I was sent to Iraq with.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Very good sound. The volume and power buttons could use raised symbol to help with locating to buttons while wearing the headphones.
Very comfortable, I wore them for several hours yesterday. Bluetooth sound quality was really good, as was the amplified sound. I purchased these on the recommendation of HRFunk.
The Link Aware, that I own, was sold out when I wanted to buy another pair, so I tried the Defy. The passive sound reduction is fine, but the BT sound quality is a bit flat. The charging cable is an older style of USB, which not everybody may have these days. It's a good product, just not top notch, like my Link
These are fantastic quality and very durable. I've worked in all weather conditions I clean them up and they are good to go. I got 11 hrs of battery life for 2 years and then that's where the good review ends. They have declined rapidly to 8 hrs now to 5 hrs. I cannot find a replacement battery for them. And it will become to costly to add throw away batteries. So in reality they have become useless. Battery quality needs to improve to have consistent life for years of work. I'm open to a new pair but this will need to be addressed first.
The overall look and build quality looked good and they functioned well. The fit was just too tight with no way to adjust. Had to return. Will try the Advance BT. ISOtunes customer service was great. Would recommend to people with smaller heads.
