Ivory Bar Soap, Original Scent, All Skin Types, 4 Count, 4 Ounces Each

The scent was a bit strong when I first opened the bar, but it faded nicely to a clean fragrance. I was very impressed with the amount of lather it produced. It was so smooth and luxurious against my skin that I spent a little more time in the shower than normal. I have never used a bar soap that gave such a nice lather and rinsed away so well. there was no residue left on my skin and that's important for me and my family. my son has sensitive skin and I do as well. For us it's important that the fragrance isn't overwhelming, and that it's gentle on our skin. I developed an allergic response to my last soap which is why I tried this one. I will not be switching soap again. this is my answer my family was looking for at bath time.

Ivory soap has been around for very long time and still standing and I am very grateful for it. All of the females in my family have to use this soap in our intimate area because we have an allergic reaction if we use any other soap. It lathers well and doesn’t crack or split. No loud fragrance to it and cleans thoroughly. I always keep my bathroom stocked!

But if you are wanting a soap that is mild and has a clean scent, this would be it. It even makes my skin soft all day, I would recommend.

My husband is allergic to many perfumes so I have found that by using Ivory Soap in the shower and lavatory and an unscented laundry detergent he is not constantly scratching his arms and chest. Ivory is worth the sacrifice every time I shop. I will Always put his comfort above any perfumed product.

Ah, memories! This the same 100% pure and natural cleansing bar of 40 years ago, only 1/3 smaller! I have severe problems with dermatosis on the back of my hands and on my inner wrists, part of which is "contact" and part "allergic." While the soap doesn't cure either of these conditions, I can say that, immediately after I began using it, there was a significant, generalized relief associated with handwashing that did not exist previously. It was just a comforting and non-irritating feeling the soap left behind. Perhaps it conditioned my skin in some way. My father used this brand of bar soap exclusively. For him then, unlike now, it was because this brand was the cheapest. However--and this is the important part--he always had the smoothest, most beautiful skin I have ever noticed on a man.

Can't go wrong with Ivory soap! As mentioned by other reviewers it is smaller and costs more but what isn't? In my opinion it's still the best soap out there.

As an Ivory soap user since childhood , I can say this is the perfect soap for all skin types. The feel is smooth and lathers nicely on your skin, does not leave a dry feeling.

The Ivory soap I grew up with,no longer exists. The bars are very small. The price of 4 bars is ridiculous. I, not so long ago, could purchase 12 bars of soap for about two dollars. The color of the bars is no longer Ivory white. They are now a tanish yellow. That, unmistakeable smell of the bars barely there. Like most peoducts made today are vicitims of corporate greed. Take away the tried and true products. And make it cheaper. Add more chemicles. And OVER INFLATE The prices.

This is NOT the original Ivory soap, it smells like orange furniture polish, awful... cannot believe they say this is the original soap, it is not, and it smells terrible!

I honestly don't know what has happened to the quality of Ivory soap. My family has used the product for years with no problems. Lately, I have found the bars to be damp and difficult to remove the wrappers. My recent purchase, I found the wrappers nearly impossible to remove. Also, there were huge sharp chunks embedded in the soap that would not melt.
