Purchased this a month ago excited for a little help with care for my painted rims. After applying this to my wheels it shined them up great (like any wax would) but after a week tried to rinse my wheels off hoping the break dust would come off easier. IT DID NOT AT ALL. I then tried this again the following week where I used diablo and it worked just like a rim that didn't have max coat. Very disappointed. I wrote customer service and they said "sorry"
This stuff really works, 4 weeks after detailing my wife's jeep and the wheels are just as clean as the day I hand washed each one with Diablo and Wheel Guard. Wheel Guard goes on like wax and comes off even easier leaving an awesome shine. The best part about it is most road grime doesn't stick to the rims and there is NO brake dust on her wheels at all. Great product for the money and one tub will go a long way.
I bought this product to protect my new powdercoated wheels from the brakedust created by the racing pads I use at the track. The brakedust attached to the old wheels so badly I had to use a metal pick to scrape it off. Did not want that happening to the new wheels. So, I decided to give this product a try. So glad I did! The brakedust washes right off with no scrubbing, only gentle sponging and wiping. The only small issue that came up was that the product did not want to haze over the first time it was applied. Tech support suggested stirring the product and trying again. Worked like a charm! Love the product and will be trying more items from this company.
One car has Lexani LSS-55 Black Rims, and another with Black Sport Rims both rims were left shiny but then after a few days of driving they were dusty and dirty again. Had to scrub the wheels as if I didn't even apply the wheel guard. Slightly disappointed.
I have used other top name well known products off the counter but they just don't come close to wheel guard polish. With a clay bar and lubricant before I applied WHEEL GUARD POLISH I saw my rims come back to its original state
I own 2 BMWs which are notorious for brake dust getting on my wheels I own a detailing business and detail lots of German vehicles They all have the same problem This product trumps anything I have tried Better for brake dust build up and it puts a great shine on the wheels 👍
After using CG heavy metal polish, I applied the Wheel Guard to my polished aluminum wheels and I am very pleased! Your products are the best and so easy to use yielding fantastic results! Thank you!
Just used this for the first time on a 2018 VW Atlas. Max Guard was super easy to apply and remove even after sitting for more than 15 minutes. Wheels look and feel amazing. If you are looking for something to protect your wheels, look no further. Max Guard is all you need.
Surprised to open it to find more of a gloppy consistency, but this stuff works beautifully. My car throws break dust all over my wheels, so I can't keep them looking fresh. Week of regular driving after applying MaxCoat and my wheels look just like when I washed them. But, it's very very green, and that color takes a couple of days to get out from under fingernails. I highly recommend gloves while applying.
I was a little sceptical at first about this product, I used to just apply jetseal on my rims, gave me a great shine and protection. But this product in much better on rims cause it more durable to heat than jetseal and i find it lasts a lot more than jetseal (specifically on rims off course). No longer need much rubbing with a brush to remove the break dust - spraying DeCon and rinse gets 90% of the job done. The smell like all of CG products is great. Must have product.
