J.A. Henckels International Definition 20-pc Self-Sharpening Block Set

This has just about every type of knife needed. And I love how the 8 steak knives are serrated. The embedded sharpening stones/wheels for the non-serrated knives are a nice feature. It has a significantly deeper footprint than our last set, so had to reposition it.

So far, it seems to be a very nice set. Knives were very sharp from the start. The block is pretty heavy and pretty large so it could be an issue in tight spaces. Time will tell how nice it is, but for now is very nice

Great value, robust knife set. Especially like the built in sharpening. The color of the wood is very rich as well.

Great value and price for a sturdy set of knives. We love them and they look great on the counter.

Sharp nice to use in kitchen

These knives are very sturdy and very sharp! I love the built in sharpener! They cut through foods with very little effort. I've even cut through frozen meat!

I loved the knives but they were too big for our counter. Where I kept my previous knives this set the base was much too big. Wish I could have found the measurements first before I ordered them.

I'm disappointed that the scissors had some rust when they arrived-I noticed after the box was gone and the family had already began using the other knives so I didn't know if returning was a possibility. Some of the other knives have also started to develop some spots with rust- it's only been a month or so since purchase. For the price I thought I'd be getting quality but it seems these will need to be replaced again- not thrilled.

These knives felt cheap and flimsy. Didn't have the same quality as other Heckles knives we bought for family through another vendor. We returned ours.
