J.A. Henckels International Statement 8" Bread Knife

Henckel knives are the best kitchen knives I have found for the everyday cook. They are sharp and hold up nicely.

Henckels, and Miyabi knives, these were among the first folks I checked with when I wanted to replace my existing bread knife, It checked all the boxes for me, including affordability, a stiffer blade, and a handle of greater diameter than the Flint stainless (which I'd been using for many years prior to my interest in higher quality cutlery). `

I'm a big fan of serrated knives, and this knife does not disappoint. Use it not only for breads, but cutting watermelon, tomatoes, onions, even pineapple. The blade is strong and glides through even the hardest surfaces with ease. The handle fits perfectly in the palm of my hand, and love how comfortable the grip is. This knife is a great value and has multiple applications in the kitchen.

I got tired of playing chicken with my digits after crusting a nice rosemary loaf and checked online hoping to find another statement knife. I got lucky and brought it home. On the first slice into the bread with the teeth sinking firmly into the crust and not darting about towards my hand I'm in love. Thanks guys for this weighty but balanced piece!

I bought it to assist in a family members low carb diet by cutting slices of bred in half, the thin way so the sandwichs made will have half the carbs and I'm satisfied with the blades performance. The only thing I would have liked would be a blade cover for storage

This bread knife is amazingly durable. This It is made from high quality stainless steel and is a single-piece of stamped blade construction so will last a long time. The serrations are razor sharp and can get through the toughest crumb with out damaging the inside bread. I use it to take apart large melons and slice huge heads of cabbage.

Great value priced bread knife with a very sharp serrated edge. The serration on this knife has nice long teeth that will penetrate the crust first and then continue through without squishing the soft inner portion. The end cap on the handle is not only attractive but provides a nice weighted balance to the handle.

The Statement line is a very distinctive, and very popular around the world. Stamped from high quality German steel, they are durable and will maintain their sharpness with normal care. These full tang knives feature an steel cap at feel secure in most hands. The curve at the end of the handle is comfortable for larger hands. These knives are a very good value. This is an excellent bread knife. The serrated edge will stay sharp for years and years - just keep it dedicated to food; bread, fruits, tomatoes. Thick skins are no match for this blade.
