We bought the dino egg for our grandson and my babysitting kids. It's so cool to see the kids faces when it started to hatch. It's a really good science project. Our Wal-Mart is sold out, can't wait till they get more in. I'll be buying a few of these again!!
Bought these for my youngest grandson and granddaughter. No they could not wait 2-4 days to full growth. Yep, one crack a soft spot and they went to town. It was a blast watching them. One was a dinosaur. The other a unicorn. They were thrilled. It was worth it to me seeing them so excited at what was in their mega egg. I'm buying more. lol
So we got the egg and saw it needs to be in 95 degrees temp water. The first night i don't the water was warm enough. The second time changed the water I made it warmer... ok something is happening then. Water got cold again so changed it. I think it was to hit then. We checked on it after a little bit. Oh Gosh! I think we melted him! Half of the dino was mush! Kids were a bit upset. All I could do was laugh. So if you get one for your little ones make sure the water is hot but not melt your skin hot. And it should hatch. Just wish that it isn't sensutive enough that it melts to mush.
We bought 5 of these Dino eggs and they all were a mushy mess. None of them were actually looking like dinosaurs. We tried multiple techniques to solve the problem but those never worked. I don't suggest purchasing this product. $15 total down the drain.
The egg never âhatchedâ. It got a small crack on day two so i went ahead and broke it open. The dinosaur then sat in the water for two more days as we waited for it to grow and nothing happened. It is just a weird, slimy thing that resembles a dinosaur. Ive been trying to dry it out so my son will touch it but so far it seems better suited fir the trash. It was a cool idea in theory but I wouldnt buy one again
I'm not sure if we just got a dud or what ,but our 'dinosaur' is just a ball of nasty sponge. It did not meet our expectations at all. I have a very disappointed little boy.
Inside the egg was a unicorn with a broken horn (broken horn piece was not included), the unicorns back side was full of this yellow glue. and a piece of the tail was also missing. $3 in the garbage.
2 days of this egg sitting in water and hasn't done anything. We changed out the water 3 times already, very disappointing
It took days for the shell to even soften then when we took it out the dino was straight mush! Glad i only spent $3 on it!
Our egg has been submerged in water for 36 hours or so and done nothing.
