This is our second Jackery generator. I don’t think we’ll ever buy another noisy, smelly gas generator. Solar generators are clean and quiet and you can bring them inside the house. Very happy with this purchase.
vanlifer here. this runs my 12v fridge on eco mode aiming for 30 degrees (F) while my car is in 100 degree heat in the shade (car vented and fan going of course) for multiple days. If I have to plug something in that is a regular wall outlet it will do hours but not days. It will not charge from the car like my smaller ones will, but seeing what the input from the wall or solar panel is compared to what the input from any source is on the smaller jackeries, that's probably a good thing and meant to protect the car batteries. Also, please note that if you have smaller jackeries there are at least two sizes of solar panel inputs and there are adapters on these but i have mixed feelings about the adapters so i use one solar panel for my smaller ones and the one that comes with this package on my bigger one. also, it is heavy. I keep one of those rolling office carts folded up in my car for when I need to transport the battery anywhere. probably my one complaint is the solar panels - there's a few things that weren't thought through very well. one, when they are folded, the outside is the solar panel - that's probably meant so you can still halfway use it while its folded but i'm never going to use it while its folded and it makes it so much harder to unfold, especially since it is very heavy and fragile. and then the other thing is that it is fragile enough that I keep it in the original box for it's protection but that means I have a box in my car and I've had to go out of my way to disguise it so it doesn't look like something worth breaking into a car for. It would be nice if there was a carrying case or something, or if it wasn't so fragile that I needed to put it in something like that. these are not complaints that lower my rating in any significant way though, and it is still an extremely affordable and usable item for what i need.
This is a power house, can use it to do many things where power is needed close by!
Great purchase for camping. I researched others and this was the most recommended for the price. I’m glad I got it, I’ve used it on every camping trip so far and I camp a lot.
When i received my unit the solar panels were missing from the order. Wal-Mart stated that my order was received in full. I contacted Jackery and they sent my second traacking order. So there is a glitch in communication with Wal-Mart to the consumer. Hopefully this helps someone else.
I got this because I'm disabled and must sleep with a ventilator. When the power goes out, the internal battery doesn't last long. Item arrived on time. It had 29% charge on it out of the box. Easy set up, and fully charged quickly once plugged in.
Great product! Set up is easy, and the Explorer 1000 is light weight, so just pick it up and go wherever. It is also powerful enough to operate my forced air furnace, plus watts to spare. Performed well, and charging was no problem...even the solar panels were quick to set up and did the job for recharging the generator. Impressed!
Power Station and Solar Panels where shipped separately. Power Station arrived, in my case, one day later.
I received the product and I am happy however I went to the new Smyrna beach store to complain about being charged tax when it was during state free tax time due to hurricane supply purchase. The customer service person was rude and would not help me at all. She insisted that I contact Jackery myself. I left angry and I will consider any future large purchases if customer service is so lacking
Received a faulty inoperable generator purchased from Walmart that will charge. Tried over ten times to resolve the issue with Jackery customer support over a 4 week period. They are quite frankly the worst customer service outfit you could be involved with. As a retired senior military officer with integrity, moral character and honesty, I strongly suggest you stay away from this product.
