Jackie Evancho - Songs from the Silver Screen - Music & Performance - CD

When I ordered, I clicked on the edition with the bonus DVD. I did not notice until my mom opened the package on Christmas day that I received just the CD. She is ok with it but I had really expected the DVD and CD because that is what she asked for.

Jackie Evancho first came to my attention at the age of 10 on NBC's America's Got Talent TV show. Since that time her career and her voice have increased at a fantastic pace. Originally referred to as "The child with an operatic voice," she has since included materiel from the "silver" screen. She has sung with some of the finest operatic and popular voices, in both foreign and English music. Her range and ability completely stumped the "Unknown Singer" panel. She has a string of platinum and gold albums with sales exceeding 2.5 million in the U.S. alone. For me, her rendition of "Some Enchanted Evening" and "The Summer Knows" brought back memories of over 65 years of marriage like it was yesterday. A treasure.

Jackie is an AMAZING singer! It is incredible how much talent she has at such a young age. She sounds so grown up.

Fans of Jackie Evancho will love this CD. All the songs are really great. I especially liked 'Come What May' with the tenors. All twelve songs are pure gold.

So far I've purchased 7 of Jackie's new CD "Songs of the Silver Screen" for myself, & to give as gifts. I am so glad I was able to watch Jackie as her career developed from before she was on "America's Got Talent" to the present day. She has been so fortunate to have people around her like David Foster to teach & advise her at this critical time. She is amazing for her age. Very focused & wanting to learn every part of the music business from the ground up. I imagine that she is a joy to work with & be around. This album is a well thought out selection of songs. Very easy listening. And to have her brother Jacob sing with her on one song is a treat. Their voices blend so well together. Jackie is certainly a very special little girl.

It is nice to hear how Jackie's voice has matured. These are great songs. I've heard some of these on pandora.com and decided to purchase the cd.

The voice this young girl has is just so beautiful she is so blessed. The songs in this cd are lovely.

it was a gift for my granddaughter so i havent heard from her if it was in good condition or not

Ms. Evancho's performance continues to amaze! What surprised me was the album cover promised a dvd of Jackie's performance on PBS...but it in fact is not included. I hope Walmart will change the product photo shown as it is very misleading.

I bought this CD for a friend as I had seen Jackie perform these songs in a recent stage show. She is a good singer. The value on the CD was a good price at Walmart so bought it there. Don't like what has happened to her voice since she appeared on America's Got Talent. I think she sings like she is affected now and not naturally as she used to. As this CD follows her stage performance the song selections are nicely chosen. If you are a Jackie fan you will enjoy this CD (I would imagine).
