The Janome MC500ELE seems like a great machine so far. It os a very largeachine especiall with the wide surface plate included. It os lighter than I thought it would be. I came with lots of hoops. There were still a few items that I needed to purchase. The screen is large and easy to view. The only problem is I am a beginner and have found it difficult to get started using it. The instruction manual is brief. doesnt give information about using the memory stick for adding designs. and other information about what software to use to see designs. I have had to spend many hours researching information. Also none of the computer software is included. Beware you will be purchasing approx $160 software if you want to purchase outside designs and be able to see them. There is no information about needles, sizes,thread, or what size memory stick to use in the instructionanual. Overall I think that it will work out fine . I just wish they had included everything and info to get started. so for the slow start I had to give ot 4 stars.
