I dropped this Janome head into an existing antique Singer treadle cabinet I own and have been sewing ALOT with it for about 5 weeks. It performs beautifully! I have purposely used all the attachments and different stitches and it works as well as my electric machine. It does take about 10 hours to break in the machine and becomes easier to treadle. It's better to keep the belt on the looser side rather than tightly stretched. My belt was at first almost too tight so I left it opened and under tension for the first week and it cleared up the problem. This is a very solid machine that does it all. I am thrilled to death to own and use it and highly recomend it to anyone wanting a treadle machine.

I mistakenly ordered the sewing cabinet only but found out my mistake when it arrived. I called the office and they were so polite and directed me to order just the JANOME machine to complete the set. It came very soon and I installed both the cabinet and the machine myself (I am 77 yrs. old). There was so much packing in the box I could hardly get to the cabinet but that was good, since no scratches occurred. I am so anxious to use it - I learned to sew when I was 13 on a treadle machine at my local Jr. High school and owned an old one for many years. Now when the power goes out I am prepared to enjoy my time sewing !! Thank you!

I have this machine and I love it. I have had it for several years. It is an excellent quality high performance machine, and I would highly recommend it to anyone who lives off-grid, or just wants an excellent machine. I love sewing, and use it to make clothes for the family and myself. Quilting and making things for the home I enjoy doing too.

I got this machine to replace an electric one. It works great and sewing is much easier and way more fun with a Treadle Sewing Machine. Cabinet is very solid and in a beautiful finish and the machine has lots of options and a great (very helpful and easy to understand) instruction manual.

Love this machine, so much more versatile than the old versions that were incapable of doing zigzag and button holes etc. this is so exciting and lovely to use.
