It looks fabulous and runs well. I had it checked out with my sewing machine repairman. He gave it a thumbs up. This is my first new sewing machine of my own since 1979. I had purchased Janome sewing machines for schools previously.
This sewing machine is amazing. Every time I use it there is something new and wonderful about this. It took a few minutes to get it up and running; I am used to a Singer of my Mothers. This has automatic settings, sets up the bobbin, threads the needle and has many preset stitch settings. The instructions are very easy to follow. It has a removable arm so that you can do sleeves, the handle is hidden on the top and it has a hidden compartment to put in your extra bobbins or thread poles. I love this machine And with the ease of setup and the may preset stitches I will be able to repair, replace clothing and save money as well. I am very comfortable using this and am very impressed how easy to set up, and to use.
The Janome sewing machine is a great machine to consider if you're looking for a light-duty or first sewing machine. The booklet that comes with it is clearly written with lots of pictures so that it is easy to see how to thread it and how to determine if the thread tension is correct or not. The controls are electronic and you can select from a variety of stitches and stitch lengths and stitch widths. There is also a foot that lets you insert a button to create perfectly-sized button holes. (Note: experiment by making a button hole on a scrap before sewing your garment. I found that I wanted the hole slightly longer than the button to avoid stretching or ripping the button hole, and the booklet tells you how to do this using the button hole foot.) You can also create corded button holes using the foot. The machine had the power to sew through multiple layers of light cotton blend easily and most of the fabrics that I use. I would recommend you do as the booklet says and run a scrap piece of fabric through the machine and let it sew that a few times before you do any serious sewing. This lets you see how the machine works, plus, if there is any oil on the sewing plate, it will remove it without soiling your good project. The sewing machine is light, so it is easy to move around and store, and one thing I really liked was that you can remove the part around the sewing plate to have a free arm for things like hemming/sewing sleeves and the piece that comes off to allow this actually has a compartment to hold the bits and pieces like needles and sewing feet for the machine. That means you are less likely to lose all those small components. If you are just learning to sew, or simply want a light-duty machine for things like quilting projects, hemming, or the occasional outfit creation, this is an excellent choice.
I choose this product because I want to learn how to sew. I learn a little bit when I were in school an while back. I learn in my home economic class. We also learn how to cook and we ate Thanks for this product. I see it is easy to use I will recommend this this product to everyone who ask About it.
Makes nice straight stitches.
I bought this machine for my niece this past summer and I found it to be nicer than than the Janome I first bought many years ago. We had no issues with it. Then I bought another for a close friend. I am not saying that the other person who had issues was wrong, as there might have been an issue with hers, but we did not find any issues with ours.
I got this sewing machine just in time for last minute Christmas projects. It has been a such a blessing for me. My other sewing machine was a Singer I had gotten many years ago. It still works but jammed and the buttons were so hard to push, Just age I guess. I was thinking about not doing any sewing projects for Christmas this year, Then I got this machine from Janome and WOW what a difference. It is so easy to use and so easy to thread. Most of my projects included multicolored stitching and this Machine lets me change thread very easily with no eye strain when threading the needle because it basically threads itself. i do wish the light was a bit brighter. Most of my projects this year consists of several thin layers of cloth being sewn into animals with different stitch patterns and This machine done a great job. I really like having all the different stitches to choose from. It is simple to use and includes an instruction book for help with some of the features so be sure to read and keep it handy. This is a good sewing machine for anyone that sews on a regular basis. It is light weight and easy to move around, It has a handle on top to carry it with. It comes with a plastic cover to keep dust off of it when you are not using it.
I thought this sewing machine was going to be a great item to use for quick hemming and rips of my grandchildren clothes. I have spent over an hour trying to sew a regular straight stitch, I made adjustments to the tension, width and length but the top stitches are loose. I tried different fabrics but the same results. I'm not new to using a sewing machine and I have made many items in the past. This machine has a large digital display, 30 different stitches and a removable free arm. Also, it included extra bobbins, needles and foot feeders but no threads. Its light weight, has a handle for easy carrying and a cover for storing. The machine runs smoothly and not very noisy at all although mine does continue to run a couple seconds after I release the foot pedal. I haven't tried buttonholes or zippers yet. I thought this machine would be easy to use especially with the digital display and the needle threader. The bobbin is easy to thread but somewhat slow to fill. I will continue to work with it in hope that I can get the stitches tight so I can complete my sewing projects.
such a cheap made machine, had to return, very disapointed in Janome
This machine is in my car ready to be returned tomorrow.I have not been able to use it,as the bobbin jams every time.I am not a beginner ,and already own the Janome Jem Gold(3/4 size) Very disappointed.
