I decided to do various sewing projects over this summer. From clothing to crafts and teaching grandchildren a bit of sewing. I got so tired of fighting my older Kenmore machine every time I tried to use it over the years and decided to look for a new machine. I found this one and couldn’t be happier. It’s extremely user friendly and believe it will be great for my beginner grandchildren. It has plenty of stitches for the basic seamstress. I highly recommend and so thankful I finally made the decision. As an added benefit it’s well priced.
Basic sewing machine with good quality build. I use a more expensive Janome, and wanted this one because it looked simple and fun. It is! The instructions are clear and the stitches are very nice, which Janome products are known for.
Quick shipping and beautiful sewing machine. I am so happy to have an all purple Janome sewing machine! I am looking forward to all the projects I will be making with this!
Great beginner machine. Easy enough to use. One note: The notions case pulls out (off the machine) to access items; a little inconvenience but can definitely overlook that for the price. My granddaughter lives the mint green color and her new sewing lessons. The machine will be one she can use well i to adulthood. Janome/New Home is a brand I trust!.
I purchased this for my daughter. She is enjoying it. Foot pedal is a little bit of an issue for her, but she is working it out. Maybe if more colors were available. But this one is pretty. We just got it and made sure to get a 3-year protection plan to support the value of the purchase. I agree this is a good one for a beginner.
Great sewing machine for beginners and experienced. I use mine for travel, going to classes and sewing with friends outside my home. Easy to use. Very sturdy yet light in weight. Limited on stitch variety but I'm a quilter so I don't need all the fancy stitches.
Overall pretty satisfied with the product. Some components, such as the presser feet that it comes with are plastic in composition rather than a sturdier metal and lend themselves to breaking or misalignment. But aside from that, pretty satisfied with the machine.
I love Janome as a brand overall. I have used Singer and they are also very nice and easy to use. I still consider myself a bit of a beginner sewist, however I have had some issues with the stitches catch and I have to pull the bobbin out and rethread it. I would say about 10 % of my time has been spent trying to make sure the threads don't catch. I have made sure I thread it correctly. As I have stated I am very well versed in how to thread several types of Janome brand machines. This one has been a little per-snick-ity with threads. I will say I do like the way this bobbin is held upright rather than laying flat like the other Janome machine I dealt with. I do like this machine but I have to be careful to make sure it doesn't eat the fabric. I may do what I have seen the lady who is on the Youtube Channel "The quilted forest". She sews a little scrap of fabric to sort of hold the stich so that it won't catch if you have to do a lot start and go sewing. I will have to try that so the stitches don't catch as often. Either way it is cheaper to buy it at $151 than to get it repaired at 'Sew Contempo'. They charge $325 to try and 'fix' your current broken machine. That's why I bought this one, and sew (lol) far it has been working like a champ <3
As a whole I love this machine. It was very easy to use and the directions are really easy to follow. I would highly recommend for the beginner and the more advanced sewer. The green color is beautiful. The only thing was the light. It isn't very bright, I got a desk lamp to use with it, that should be a big help when working with dark material. Otherwise it's a good machine.
I was sold a used product that someone else used and got hair all over it was covered in hair and the pedal power cord was wrapped around pedal no bag and the box was opened but the company just stuck a sticker on it saying it wasn’t open but clearly it was so then if this company gonna lie and sell a product that was used and allow it to be sold nasty very disappointed with Janome and I left Singer mistake and im already in a crunch because I need to get things done for the holiday so I can’t turn around and try to return it because I need to use it so I’m kind of stuck keeping the nasty used one, but I will never recommend your company to anybody
