JanSport Right Pack Backpack - Travel, Work, or Laptop Bookbag with Leather Bottom, Graphite Grey

I bought the earlier version of this backpack 25 years ago, which I reluctantly decided to replace with the new one featuring the built-in computer pocket - very modern! I have re-sewn and replaced the zipper on my old pack several times over the years which in my opinion, represents a discriminating track record for product quality when considering how much it was used - definitely the right backpack! My old backpack had been a constant companion, traveled to many different parts of the world and accompanied a legacy of life changes over the years. Never thought I could develop an attachment to things but, "My Backpack" became quite a nostalgic and indispensable item to me!

I still have a Jansport from the 90s when I was in high school-- yes I'm that old-- and it's still in great condition. I recently found these again and now that my own kids are out of the character backpack phase I will be getting them their own Jansport backpacks for school and sports. I mean a new one for me isn't a bad idea either

My husband bought this style of backpack over 30 years ago and just wore out. If this one lasts just as long I will be happy. They do have a lifelong warranty, but we felt 30 years he deserved a new one. The bottom of the backpack if very durable. Very happy with the purchase.

I don't think the backpack cares what my Pronounes are or is. You know if companies like this would stop catering to individuals who are confused or lost in their head We wouldn't be in the situation where gender or in pronouns is such a issue and this world today.

My daughter who is 15 yrs.old and in her second year of high school usually doesn't like anything I pick out for her and I was taking a chance in ordering this one but she absolutely loves it and was very excited that I may actually have good taste..lol.

The "Russet Red" color is what I was hoping for - a sort of red-maroon, which pairs nicely with the brown suede leather bottom. The pack is surprisingly lightweight yet durable. My only gripe is that is has more pockets than I need. My old Jansport daypack that I bought about 20 years ago had just a main compartment and one small outer zip pocket. This pack has a main compartment with a computer sleeve, plus two zipped outer pockets, the larger of which has a pen/pencil organizing sleeve. Maybe I'll learn to appreciate the extra features.

Upon its arrival, I showed this backpack to my husband. It's going to be our 8 year old's backpack probably for quite awhile. he's a very destructive little boy. However, my husband told me, he had the same backpack when he was going to school when he was younger. We went to school together, I never noticed in high school because in high school we couldn't carry our bags and I rarely ever saw him with one. My son isn't his bio kid, but has been in his life since he first learned to walk. He took comfort knowing that the daddy he has always had, had the same bookbag when he was younger and he can't wait to use it for the school year. He loves having a lot of the same things in common with him and I adore it. I love their bond and am so grateful they have one more thing to share.

this was a gift to my 10 year old granddaughter this is her first year in middle school, we had shopped your bags in several retail outlets and I was happy with the quality,only problem was no one had this color that she wanted.So we ended up buying it on line and having it shipped.your company was easy to deal with and the bag arrived around the time promised, so happy kid. I like the quality of the construction, a little pricey for a school bag but i believe it will survive all of the wear and tear. ,

We wanted and expected an ORANGE backpack, and what we received is a product that turned out to be more pink than anything. Needless to say, my son refuses to use it. He likes and will use only one color, so please keep those. Do you have any products that can be used for school that is Orange and not some color that may be considered in the family range of orange?
