I love this primer! Feels so good on my skin! I've ordered it before and had to have more when I ran out.
It goes on smoothly and creates a more flawless look.
This product is amazing. Definitely a multi-tasker! Face feels smooths, moisturized and brighter after the first use!
Goes on easily and absorbs well. Gives you a smoother coverage with foundation.
This is my favorite primer ever! It makes my skin dewy and is the perfect consistency for hot Georgia summer. I even wear it alone but it definitely works best as a primer. My make up glides on smoothly and stays put. I'm 50 and my skin looks so beautiful using this product, I highly recommend!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Being a beauty content creator and reviewer, I try and review makeup quite a bit. I didn't know what to expect with the Beauty Magic Spell Potion 5, but I ended up very impressed! The packaging and presentation of this primer is positively gorgeous. The external packaging looks simple, yet feminine. The matte black jar with Jason Wu embossed is nothing short of stylish and luxe. Upon opening the jar, I'm greeted with the most spectacular peony pink whipped gel. When I apply this to my skin, it feels refreshing. It almost has a watery texture, which initially made me think this wasn't going to do anything. Happily, it proved me wrong! Since this is a primer/skincare hybrid, it has properties that are unique.I found the Beauty Magic Spell Potion 5 to be hydrating, but not oily, or to have any residue whatsoever. My combo oily skin feels like bare clean skin. This perfectly sets my makeup all day also! Products that typically leave me oily as the day wears on, seem to wear better. I also don't end up with the typical dry patches around my nose at the end of the day.I highly recommend this and will never go without it again. I feel this would work for all skin types. **This review was created through an educational promotional event hosted between the brand and beauty experts.**
This cream is very effective for hydrating and soothing. It has a cool, gentle feel and I have not experienced any irritation unless I use it too close to my eyes. I also like the heaviness of the jar it comes in as it feels like quality. I love trying out products from this brand and really respect Jason's business model in general ( clean, cruelty free, simple, everyday, and affordable ). The little touches like the notes to customers remind you that he is human and respects us as such as well. I love that. That said, I wanted this to work out as THE primer for me, but unfortunately, I have not found it effective as a primer. This really might be just me as other customers are writing reviews raving about it being the best primer ever, but I can't seem to make it work for that. The formula is light and water-based and perfect for soaking into my skin quickly, but this is the opposite of what I want for priming my makeup. I have tried applying it a few minutes before my makeup and up to an hour before. It soaks into my pores and disappears. I am not seeing any difference in the way my makeup sits or the longevity of it. If anything, I am worse off as it goes right into those creases. I need something just a tad more firm to work for that and I like a few others better that are cheaper. However, I find it to work very well as a night cream and will be using it for that. I wake up with my skin soft and healthy. Again, I could be using it wrong or missing something, but don't let me stop you from trying it as I am obviously in the minority.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] as a beauty professional for over 40 years. This is the first time trying the Jason Wu Beauty Magic Spell Potion 5. most moisturizers are creams or lotions. This is a beautiful whipped cooling gel and of course, it's my favorite color, pink. This gel moisturizer is nongreasy. Absorbs well into the pores without just laying on top of the skin. It does not clog the pores like some creams. I feel this gel would be a good product for those who suffer from adult acne as it does not seem to clog the pores. And for those sun worshipers out there, my tip is to refrigerate this product for when you shower after a day out in the sun, you get the cooling refreshing treat to your face after a day of being exposed to the sun as it gently moisturizes your skin and helps keep your face from peeling or being dried out from the sun exposure. **This review was created through an educational promotional event hosted between the brand and beauty experts.**
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm so thrilled to finally be trying out the infamous Jason Wu cosmetics. Some of you might be more familiar with his exquisite fashion line. Either way, you are safe to expect high end quality results with anything JW related. As a Pro MUA, I often times feel indifferent about primers. I feel, they don't always seem to agree with everyone's skin type. This Magic Spell Potion 5 is different. It primes and hydrates while offering several other benefits like anti aging, hyper pigmentation treatment and oil control. It also seems to be just as effective on any skin type. This product helps combat so many issues all in one convenient step. It's lightweight and feels great under makeup. I especially love that it absorbs into the skin so quickly allowing for little to no down time before layering on foundation.Pro tip: No need to over use this Magic Spell Potion 5. A pea size is plenty for the entire face. **This review was created through an educational promotional event hosted between the brand and beauty experts.**
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've honestly never heard of this brand before so I was pretty excited to try it out. Starting out my beauty career as a makeup artist I'm always interested in trying new brands and especially ones with nice price points that are attainable for most people. Just because it's a good product doesn't mean it needs to cost a million dollars right? As a makeup artist for 17 years I've used so many makeup primers. Way too many to name. The texture of this one is ok. I honestly did not really care for it for some clients. I prefer something thinner but can see how this would work for other clients. I do usually carry with me several primers for different purposes. The price point is not bad and the amount you get is nice if it works well for your purposes. **This review was created through an educational promotional event hosted between the brand and beauty experts.**
