I recently bought the JBL Authentics 200 and I'm genuinely blown away by it. The biggest thing for me is how well it fills a large space. This isn't just “loud near the speaker” sound – the bass and presence carry across the whole room. I listen to a lot of hip-hop, R&B, reggae and house, and the low-end is deep, punchy and controlled, without being boomy or muddy. What really impressed me is how good it sounds at sensible volumes. You don't need to crank it for it to feel full and satisfying, which makes it perfect for a kitchen or open-plan space. Compared to smaller Bluetooth speakers I've owned (which are loud but don't project), this feels like a completely different class. Setup was painless, AirPlay works flawlessly with Apple Music, and the build quality feels premium. It looks great on a countertop and feels like it's been designed to actually live in a home, not just be moved around occasionally. Honestly, this is one of those purchases where you press play and immediately think: “Yep — this is exactly what I wanted.” Highly recommended if you want proper room-filling sound without the hassle of a full hi-fi system.

Building a new home and not needing to put built-in speakers in! Using 1 JBL Authentics 300 and (3) JBL Authentics 200s for amazing sound throughout the house. The 200 syncs perfectly every time and has amazing sound. The bass is excellent! Tried many other competitors speakers, including many Marshall's and they don't compare. Plus the Authentics have a classic look. Super happy with my purchase!

One word to describe this device: Wow! The speaker is heavier than I expected, and it's important to handle it carefully because the bass driver underneath could be damaged. The build quality is excellent, as you'd expect from a top brand like JBL. The sound quality is outstanding for a small speaker, with no distortion even at maximum volume and bass levels. It's incredibly loud, so I can't listen to it at full volume. The top controls are simple rotary dials with neat light segments indicating the settings. These can also be adjusted using the JBL One app. A key feature of this speaker is its Wi-Fi connectivity, along with built-in Alexa and Google Assistant. You can set up and use both simultaneously, making it easy to stream music from the internet. The JBL One app also allows you to stream from sources like Amazon Music and TuneIn, though YouTube Music integration isn't as straightforward. If you have two identical speakers, you can set them up in stereo mode to play the same music on both. Powering the speaker is simple with a standard power lead, but there's no USB-C charging. There is a USB-C port on the back, but it doesn't function in the UK since USB music support is only available in the US, which is disappointing as it could have provided another audio input. Overall, this is a high-quality speaker that, despite its cost, is worth it. The audio quality is excellent, and the integrated Alexa support makes playing my favorite music quick and easy. Plus, the sound quality is impressive for such a small speaker and it works well when connected to a TV as a soundbar.

When it comes to JBL products high quality and performance is standard but Authentics 200 loudspeaker takes it to the next level. I am amazed with the sound it produces. Whether it is set on quiet or lound or whether you listen classical piece of music or upbeat dance tune or even watch a movie, the sond is always true and sophisticated with well balanced high tones and deep bass. You can still adjust bass and trebles to your liking. I do like subtle retro look and that controls lights go away after a few seconds so no flashy led lights. The compact size to fit it anywhere you want, even on a bedside table. What I am missing is usb or sd port. Also I wish there was more colour choice.

Simply fantastic jbl never disappoints. I have already purchased Jbl party boxes in the past for my parties in the countryside, but this case, although small in size, is not to be underestimated. Its retro style design fascinates you at first glance, powerful and clear sound Testing it over the last few weeks, I noticed that you can't hear any rustling even when you turn the volume up to maximum. I recommend the purchase

Let's start with the price. Yes it seems a bit steep for a speaker but this is not only a speaker but a fantastic addition to any home. The modern sleek design compliments anywhere you place it. The ability to add or remove bass and treble ensures you have an enjoyable experience. Setting up the product was a little confusing for me at first but once done it was actually easy (I struggle with some technology) I connected my Alexa and the sound was so crisp and clear. The speaker was bigger then I expected but has been a very welcome addition to our house. I highly recommend this product and would advise anyone to get one. All I can say is you get what you pay for in such a incredible way!

I had the pleasure of testing this JBL Authentics 200 speaker and I was pleasantly surprised. First of all I was struck by its slightly retro design, it matches perfectly with my bedroom, in fact I placed it there, then I was struck by the powerful sound clear and crisp even at high volume. Convenient that it does not interrupt during calls

JBL Authentics 500 and 200 speakers let's start with positive they look absolutely awesome and the sound is absolutely awesome now the negative linking them is absolutely awesome nightmare with Goole Home ie casting also Spotify Goole home keeps saying speakers are offline which is crazy as they are connected on the app so the voice assistance doesn't work. I do not recommend this at all. It's a great shame. They should have tested this cropley. Before sending them out to the public, it's a great shame as the speakers are absolutely beautiful to look at. Let's hopefully they sort this problem out as soon as possible.
